Schultz: We're In a 'Religious War,' Haven't Been 'Strong Enough,' Must Consider Ground Troops

Holy schnikes: was that really Ed Schultz, or has the soul of Norman Schwarzkopf suddenly assumed control of the MSNBC host's body?

On his show this afternoon, Schultz—discussing the latest ISIS outrages—stunningly declared that we are in a "religious war" in which we haven't been "strong enough," and repeatedly raised the possibility that ground troops might be necessary.

Methinks Ed is going to get taken to the woodshed by MS-LSD management. Look for a groveling apology on this next show.

He used to be a “far-right” radio show host until he found out that lefty pays better.

In 1992, Schultz became a conservative political talk show host on WDAY-AM.[12] In 1996, Schultz moved to KFGO-AM.[9] Schultz’s News and Views radio show was very similar to his WDAY Viewpoint program and quickly grew into a regional broadcast dominating the North Dakota airwaves, with additional listeners in South Dakota, western Minnesota, Montana, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. His political views leaned towards the right during the early years, and Schultz told the Los Angeles Times that he “lined up with the Republicans because they were anti-tax and I wanted to make a lot of money.”[13][14] His political views became more liberal after he visited a Salvation Army cafeteria in 1998 and later took his radio show on the road riding in a 38-foot motor home. Throughout the tour, Schultz visited families in rural North Dakota and described his tour as “the on-the-job experience that have changed my thinking as to where we’re going as a country.”[5]

Schultz pondered a run as a Republican for the U.S. House of Representatives against Democratic Rep. Earl Pomeroy in 1994, but decided against it after visiting with state Republican leaders.[15]

Or we are being prepared by the WH for ground troops in Iraq and Syria. 4,000 troops will be sent to Kuwait.

More than 4,000 troops will be deployed to Kuwait, possibly to fight Islamic State - A brigade of more than 4,000 soldiers from Fort Carson, Colo., will be deployed to Kuwait to create the largest U.S. ground force currently in the Middle East. The Fort Carson soldiers could be the first into battle if a major combat force is used to fight the Islamic State, according to The Gazette.

Have you ever noticed that when the ruling class wants to go to war, atrocities by the other side are all over the news? Happened in Iraq 1 and 2. It’s happening now with ISIS.

This is not to say that atrocities don’t happen. It’s just that they happen all the time when barbarians are running things. But they make the news in American when the ruling class wants to go to war. Remember Rwanda? Couldn’t get the hideous atrocity stuff to the mainstream news. Because the ruling class didn’t care to go to war there.

Of course, there’s the usual partisan stuff. Dems will jump behind an Obama war. And R’s will jump behind a W war. But if I read things correctly, war and troops on the ground are coming and soon.

150 years from now this “war on terror” will be referred to as “The 100 Year War...” because that IS how long this will last.
