I teach federal government at the local college.
I take a poll and that 20-30% number is usually the number that students say when asked what is the percentage of the population that is homosexual. . .some classes estimate even a higher percentage.
It's all about popular media manipulating the weak-minded; EVERY show has a homo, and every homo is quirky, fun, well-adjusted, loyal and just darned nice.
Because so many shows have homo's this inflates the numbers. . .and by the way, no more of this ‘isn't he/she brave for coming out of the closet’. . .it takes greater courage to say homosexuality is wrong than it is for a homo to come out of the closet. . .and every homo will TELL you he/she is homosexual within 5-min of meeting them for the first time.
