The Department of Justice argued in (papers filled Monday), that the ability of the federal government to protect national security would be "irreparably harmed" if a federal judge did not lift his injunction blocking implementation of President Obama's executive amnesty program.,P.[snip] "To put it bluntly, the Department of Homeland Security was ready last week to begin taking the steps that would bring millions of people out of the shadows.

Earnest also did not explain how giving background checks only to those who qualify for Obama's amnesty would somehow protect Americans from all the illegal immigrants that won't come out of the shadows since they know they would fail a background check.

I have come to the conclusion that the goal is to have a nation of lawbreakers. Whether a taxpayer, an immigrant, a person in need of health care, or a kid eating a school lunch, you have surely broken some law or regulation and have not found yourself in jail thanks to “prosecutorial discretion.” With this executive action the administration will have millions of foot soldiers who are not only grateful, but also mindful that “discretion” can go away very quickly. Is Obama telling us, on the one hand, that his staff is working as hard as they can to correct the longtime severe problems with ObamaCare, while, on the other hand, Obama is telling us that this same staff will have no problems checking the backgrounds of 11 million illegals under his Nov. 2014 executive action?
