Jewish House Democrats personally offered Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a chance to lower the political temperature after he accepted a Republican invitation to speak to Congress next week on Iran — a less provocative, closed-door session.
Netanyahu turned them down, frustrating members of President Barack Obama's party who are caught between the White House and the Israeli leader.
Democrats face an unenviable choice on Tuesday: Attend the speech and listen to the Israeli leader criticize the president over his effort to negotiate a deal with Iran on its nuclear capability. Or skip it and face complaints that they failed to show solidarity with Netanyahu.
Democrats are largely resigned to the situation although still bitter about being caught in between. They're directing their wrath at House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, who invited Netanyahu without consulting with the White House and State Department. And they're publicly disagreeing with the Israeli leader, too.
Rep. Sander Levin, R-Mich., called Boehner's invitation to Netanyahu "a strictly political ploy by the speaker to try to reinforce the Republicans' position on Israel and divide Democrats."
Netanyahu was "mistaken to agree to it," he said. "Speaker Boehner is playing politics with the critical issue of Israel's security. That's beyond pardon as far as I'm concerned."

This Obama induced crisis which the NY Times outed as being phony, (Obama Knew in advance) about Bibi’s speech, so no breech in protocol.
The Democrats have been treating Israel as a second class Bastard Son for years. Threats for BDS, not blocking UN actions against Israel. Demanding release of Murderers, delaying much needed parts during this summers Hamas missile attacks. Personal attacks on Bibi, snubs not asking him to dine instead being left alone in a room. Walking him out the service (trash can) exit, calling him a coward (a real laugh since Bibi was the commander of Israel’s version of a Seal unit).
Fact is that Israel has a nuclear dilemma, stop Iran getting nukes diplomatically or get hit by only 4 nukes and be wiped out in a nuclear holocaust. Only its ally American can help her solve this without bloodshed, and Obama won’t help.

Christians and Jews need to stand up for the United States, or just go on and let the muslims have the nation. Any elected member of the U.S. Congress who boycotts Netanyahu’s speech is siding with the muslims. The voters are watching you, U.S. Congress!

No member of Congress with a conscience or knowledge of history would have a moment’s hesitation deciding which side to take in the current to-attend or not-to-attend brouhaha over a speech that the media has so over-hyped it’s becoming as famous as the Gettysburg Address and it hasn’t even been delivered yet.
On the one hand, there is Israel-hating Barack Obama who wants to help Israel’s worst enemy, Iran, build nuclear weapons that could also be directed at Western governments including the U.S., OR Benjamin Netanyahu whose country continually faces existential threats, not only from prospective Iranian nuclear bombs but also from Hamas terrorists whom Iran supports.
Three weeks after the attack on Pearl Harbor, Winston Churchill gave a speech to a joint session of Congress. If the Speaker of the House at that time had invited Mr. Churchill, whose country had been fighting a war against Japan’s ally Germany, to make a speech BEFORE the Pearl Harbor attack warning the United States about the dangers posed by the German-Japanese Axis of Evil, would the Pearl Harbor attack have been so devastating, so unprepared for? Would it have even taken place at all if Congress had taken Churchill’s warnings to heart?
As far as we know, no British-hating, pro-German or pro-Japanese Congressmen boycotted Winston Churchill’s 1941 speech, as at least thirty Israel-hating pro-Iranian Democratic Congressmen will be boycotting Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech on Tuesday, but if there had been such people, their names would have lived in infamy, as will undoubtedly the names of the thirty anti-Israel, anti-Netanyahu Congressmen of today and their leader Barack Obama.
For every state that doesn’t have a dem in attendance, the gop should fly in a veteran from that state to attend.
We need to hear from BiBi. Shame on those not attending especially since the new york slimes outed the administration that kept saying they were not informed when they actually were informed.
If the Bolshies were not so afraid Obummer would keep 5% of the skin color voters from the polls, they might grow a pair. 10% stay away they never win another election, with or without illegals.
