I have a full machine shop...

Me too. I'm doing a lot of study related to barrel making. Soon I will start experimenting with those processes. Surely I have an advantage over those who made barrels in the 17-1800s.

Gotta build a forge first though.

Then it will be a true M-4gery.

The hard parts are forging (if you go that route) gun drilling is not too difficult with the right lathe, but the rifling is tough. Good luck. And don’t have any tragic blating accidents like I did and lose everything.

Too late! It is a shame shooting enthusiasts also like to canoe.

“You know as well as I that government rules are idiotic. Try that build without the “just purchased parts”.”

I guess I am trying to understand where you are coming from. The only conclusion I can come up with is that your view is that in order for a weapon to be homemade, you have to start with iron ore, is that right?

No, bar stock.

If you drill a few holes and mill out a couple of pockets in a milled casting you purchased while everything else comes completely finished from a factory, you are just assembling a factory build. You completed a kit. A "low effort" kit.

Good Grief. So, is the author of this supposed article an ATF agent or just a normal queer?
