On March 4, gun control proponent Gabby Giffords will join Democrat lawmakers to push for expanded background checks on Capitol Hill.
Representative Mike Thompson (D-CA) is spearheading the push.

As far as gun sales background checks, about as effective as those deadly cop killer bullets that folks spray fire out of shoulder goes up thingy multi round clip assault rifles that are only suitable for the battle field and not downtown chit-cago. Or something. Hey, how about background checks for folks wanting to set up at home email servers. No?
Beat me to it. President Obama was never vetted.
By “join” they mean they’ll trot her in and point her head to the cameras where she can say something short she’s been repeatedly rehearsed to say.
Nothing complicated...something like “guns bad...”
Then her husband, the lawyers or some other gun hater puke will take over and tell us what those few short garbled words mean.
Count on it.
Democrats are pushing more stringent background checks so they can decide who can purchase a gun. They will expand the criteria until very few can even hope to pass the check.
Gabby isn’t even respected in AZ after she was shot
Well...I think the truth is that she probably isn’t even aware of what day it is, much less how well she is regarded in AZ. In my estimation she’s just a prop for her husband and his ambitions and greed now.
Maybe someone can confirm my curiosity, aren’t there background checks already in place? Is this lingo strictly for the anti gun peeps?
Here in AZ the general consensus is that her husband is milking his wife’s injury for about a million a year : )
No doubt...I had him pegged from day one. Dollars to donuts he’s got a girlfriend on the side unless he’s taught her some tricks.
If the shooter had ONLY used a six shot revolver, Gabby would still be partly brain dead, Judge Roll would still be dead, and four others still shot and some dead, then the shooter would drop his revolver and grab his backup and continue shooting.
And remember, the NICS (FBI)approved the sale of the handgun to Loughner.

Yes, they are. All according to current legislated laws I might add. Who knows what the leftist’s mean about “Expanded Background Checks” - the article doesn’t want to go into that little aspect, it seems.
It could be just an extension of the myth about Gunshow Loophole where they try to make people believe a gun show [ooga booga] let’s criminals buy guns with no problems. Or that somehow freely operating citizens exercising their rights to comply with established laws don’t have the right (ANYWHERE, even outside a Gun Show) to privately sell a weapon to another citizen after having performed reasonable due diligence.
The whole point of this nebulous ‘expanded background checks’ stuff is to usher in unspecified justification for bringing in database information from places like ObamaCare records and the like where the government has forced some doctor’s office assistant to ask you a question and when you don’t respond correctly, mark you down as a dissident, and tagged as a NICS no-go (you headspace guys out there know what I mean)....IOW, you can’t buy a gun now.
Their end goal is to take your guns away from you - everywhere like England, Australia and the like and to make you much more amenable to doing what they say (or you lose your life.)

Well...I won’t argue on that point! :0) It all depends on how ‘phat’ he’s gotten from the take on the scam....could be enough for several honey girls all over.
