According to Brooklyn Borough President, the spirit of Selma is about adding Muslim holidays to the school calendar. According to Obama, it’s about replacing black workers with illegal aliens through amnesty.
Obama invoked the “spirit of Selma” to justify his executive amnesty policies Friday in an interview with Sirius XM’s Joe Madison.
“The notion that some kid that was brought here when he was two or three years old might somehow be deported at the age of 20 or 25 even though they’ve grown up as American, that’s not who we are,” Obama said.
“That’s not true to the spirit of what the march on Selma was about,” Obama continued. “When you think about the principle that was upheld that day and in subsequent days at the Edmund Pettus Bridge, it was the promise of an inclusive America, it was the promise of an America where everybody was equal under the law,” he said.
Everyone except Obama, Hillary, and their close friends and donors.
But let’s not quibble over a few minor pardons, loans, grants and immunity from prosecution. We’ve got bigger fish to fry. Like amnesty, which judges that illegal aliens are more equal than legal immigrants, a position that privileges criminals.
Equality under the law means that everyone follows the law. Obama insists that equality under the law means dismantling the law to achieve his preferred outcome (the permanent rule of the left, see Castro, Fidel) which is not how it works.
Obama cynically invokes Selma in support of an amnesty that will disenfranchise millions of black workers. Martin Luther King’s wife, of all people, had warned about the impact of illegal alien workers on black workers.
Amnesty seems more like the spirit of slave ships than Selma. Cheap labor and cheap political power.
If Obama isn’t the Lord of the Flies — then he is surely a high ranking lieutenant.

Oh that will solve things- NOT. Do this and civil war will start - by the blacks.
Obama is all about increasing the number of illegals who are to be legalized (and will be made able to vote) into those few critical swing states that now decide the Electoral College. It is also why his DHS dispersed all the 100K plus illegal children over the full 50 states.
They don’t need more illegals in NYC, Boston, LA County, Washington State, Oregon.....
It’s those states that are persuadable in the national election scheme of things. Infuse the seeds of continual “anchor” importation illegals-soon-legalized and make a sea change in the electoral landscape.
The goal - perpetual Electoral College superiority.
That’s why he dumped a couple thousand minor urchin in your states. They will beget millions.

He needs to be impeached, regardless of the political consequences.

That’s a generous statement. I don’t think he cares about anything except instant gratification for himself and keeping his handlers just happy enough to retain his position.
The black people I know are really angry about this whole illegal thing. These people are not the sorry welfare types but regular people that want what all decent people want. Those that are not college material see the jobs that are a leg up for them and their families going to illegals.
I thought the sarcasm would have been evident/conveyed with the quotation marks.

If only the media would translate Obama like they do every time he says something stupid. What Obama is saying is...

Joke is on them. They thought they were electing a half-black, half-white guy who was more black than white. They ended up with a half-Muslim, half-Christian, and half-alien, half-American guy who is all Muslim and all alien.
When our 612 day wait is over - and Obama's OUT of office we're going to change the law, close the borders, and send a bunch of people back to where they came from...
I hope so!!! Tell every illegal you see that. Tell them we’ll know where to find them too now that Obama has tricked them.
