Two officers were shot in front of the Ferguson Police Department early Thursday while demonstrators were gathered across the street an attack the county police chief described as "an ambush" that could easily have killed both men.
The shots were fired just as a small crowd of protesters began to break up after holding a demonstration in the wake of the resignation of the Ferguson police chief, who stepped down Wednesday.
St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said one officer was shot in the face, just below his right eye, with the bullet lodging behind his ear. The other officer was hit in the shoulder, and the bullet came out his back.
Both men were expected to recover without suffering any long-term damage, Belmar said, but the wounds might have been mortal.
"We could have buried two police officers next week over this," he said.

JUSTUS, JUSTUS, JUSTUS! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
And the public is supposed to have “sympathy” for these scumbag thugs??? Our fine Washington leadership is probably celebrating the results of their racist-agitation actions.
This administration, and its racist goons, cannot be escorted out of Washington fast enough.
St. Louis County police are reporting that both officers have been released from the hospital. Thank God the wounds weren’t that serious; it could have been a lot worse.
The text said handgun shots from 120 yards away. That’s some kind of shooting.
The cops were acting stupidly.............

120 yards?
I gotta get me one of those!.......................
This doesn’t seem possible given the officer that was shot below the eye??? What the heck?
Thank God the wounds werent that serious...
If it were me, I would be calling that pretty darn serious ... Glad that Officer Black Knight is made of pretty stern material ... 'twas a mere flesh wound'...
The savages were given permission by the corrupt administration in Washington, and so the savages did what savages do.
Here’s the part where the police discover that the rounds the atf just squawked about were used
The bullet must have bounced off the bone and traveled along under the skin, because the article said it exited just next to his ear.
I’m just curious, what race were the officers who were shot. So far, all I’ve seen is that they were not from the Ferguson Police Department.

It was not enough that the chief of police had just resigned. It was not enough that a local judge had quit. It was not enough that the Department of Justice had exonerated former officer Darren Wilson. Nothe mob, told by President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder that Ferguson was still guilty of racism, wanted justice.
Obama and Holder have been inciting racial violence since the very beginning of Obamas presidency. This is the most racist president in the history of U.S.
After expending hundreds of thousands dollars trying to condemn Officer Darren Wilson, the Justice department had to exonerated the police officer of all the false charges that the race pimps tried to input on him. Will Obama apologize to Darren Wilson for his public character assassination of Mr. Wilson because he fulfilled his duty of defending the city from the attacks of criminal thugs?
Yep. Talk about “dog whistles”, Holder has let them know in every way possible short of giving them the order in plain English, to do this.
As recompense for the Ferguson PD's inherent racism a ban on arrests of persons of color for any reason must be instituted until the PD is reconfigured to match the Ferguson Demographic as to proportion of Negroes on the force and within that cohort, the proper proportion of felons, drug dealers, pimps, etc., must also be represented.
.22 short?
“.22 short?”
Dunno, but it apparently was NOT a “cop-killer” bullet.
