Police said Tuesday that someone wired a house in a Boston suburb to explode when a certain light switch was turned on.
The Boston Police Department's bomb squad successfully disarmed the device found at the home in Milton late Tuesday. No injuries were reported.

Given the description of what they had rigged up, their objective seemed to be more geared towards burning the place down than killing anyone. Probably anticipating the owner using the light switch, and starting an uncontrollable fire. They’d likely have more than enough time to get out. If they were looking to kill; rather than incendiary device, they would have used explosives to blow the place up. Given the size of that house, it would take a powerful explosion.
How in the world was this danger discovered?

Here in Indy, the big explosion was from a gas fireplace turned on but not lit, and the microwave oven timer programmed to turn on the next day.
Planned insurance job, but sadly the explosion was so big it killed the young couple living next door.
