"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Indeed, he is correct.

I love debating with my lib associates (none work at my office, since we are all STEM types who actually understand absorption curves).

They all change the argument with astounding regularity as soon as they sense they are cornered.

It’s like shooting fish in a barrel.

““If you look at global warming alarmists, they don’t like to look at the actual facts and the data. The satellite data demonstrate that there has been no significant warming whatsoever for 17 years. Now that’s a real problem for the global warming alarmists. Because all those computer models on which this whole issue is based predicted significant warming, and yet the satellite data show it ain’t happening.””

Luv this dude!

Global warming was, from the beginning, a leftist political movement designed to redistribute money. Easily proven.

He’s right. Crazy as loons and like the Catholic church when they were burning people at the stake/torturing people to recant.

It’s a good time to bring this issue to a head.

Global Warming is something most Americans could not care less about.

Follow the money. If the gov’t says climate change is real and would you scientists mind getting some grant money to prove it?

Ted Cruz is a breath of fresh air. It sounds like he will take the debate and run with it. He’s calling out these global warming liberals on the faulty premises of their position.

This has big public policy implications because when liberals are in charge, they pursue policies such as shutting down coal fired power plants, based on their global warming theology, not based on actual facts. I’m glad he’s talking about this.

Great - take it right back at them.
Call THEM the “science deniers”.

Seriously, the ONLY thing that is “proving’ global warming, especially anthropogenic global warming,

are computer models.

Until those computer models accurately predict something measureable NOW, they should be given no credibility.

Anyone have the political cartoon showing the real cause of global warming?

(government handing grant money to scientists)

George P. Box, a famous statistician, said "All models are wrong; some are useful". That proves that some are NOT useful. Utility is proven by how well they predict the future. So far, the existing climate models have not been able to predict more than the next few days (called "weather"), and sometimes not even that.

"They all change the argument with astounding regularity as soon as they sense they are cornered."

Which generally occurs when asked to substantiate their position.

The best way to test a model is by providing inputs leading to a known, as in already has happened, outcome.
