As if they had a mind in the first place ?
This is what I’d love for Sen. Cruz to say:
“Consensus is anti-science. Our major scientific advancements have come when one person proves everybody else wrong. To say that consensus should preclude further debate: that’s the real denial of science.”
I feel like he could thoughtfully engage every topic, every gotcha, off the cuff and not try to avoid a single thing. Like he’s actually convincing people, not just playing defense in his answers. He’s definitely refreshing.
You’re not trying to have a serious conversation with them because you can’t.
It’s just fun to watch and hear their response when you accuse them of trying to stop something that’s been happening for 4 billion years.
And he is right
I stand with Ted
Unfortunately, Sen. Cruz is wrong about the history of Galileo.
The controversy was most definitely not over whether the earth is flat.
Every educated European since the ancient Greeks knew that the earth is round. And it was accepted as fact by the church: Thomas Aquinas acknowledged this in his writings.
Instead, the controversy was over whether the sun or the earth is the center of the universe. Of course, neither is in fact true, but the heliocentric model advocated by Galileo is far closer to the truth than the old earth-centered model of Ptolemy.
Another unfortunate misconception about the Church’s mistreatment of Galileo: It was Copernicus who first advanced the heliocentric model. Copernicus was a monk, and the Church never condemned him for his scientific work. There is more to Galileo story than the Church’s rejection of scientific advances that appear to contradict scripture and tradition.
The next time one of these morons starts running their mouths about global whorming, ask them why Al Gore bought a mansion in a warm climate instead of a cool one.
If they had to change the name from global warming to climate change then the whole premise has been acknowledged to be on shakey grounds by their own camp.
please add me to list.
Actually most of us learned in elementary school about ice ages, the natural warming and cooling of the earth. Also that we breath in air and exhale carbon dioxide, perfect patterns with plant life that inhales air and exhales oxygen. Perfect.
You better believe it or else!
Who are you going to believe, a politician or your own lying eyes?
That's not snow on the ground, that is white meshugggah-lefta. Don't touch it, it's VERY hot. See the steam coming out of people's mouth's? That means that their breath is over 212 degree F! Caused by you selfishly driving to work in a fossil fuel (yuck) powered car!
That white stuff on the ground PROVES global warming.
The Putz hockey-stick theory (Don't call it a theory, it's FACT) says that it's at least 400 degrees C out side right now despite what your right-wing thermometers say!
The meshuggantistic layer in the gore-o-sphere is heated to “several million” degrees by your automobile, beneath and above the earth. The moisture has caused it to be far above the boiling point out side since January. You are not able to feel it because of the denier's mass hypnosis on the population and the G5 time pi Tertiary Bupkis coming down from the buckle of the Van Allen belt.
How else do you explain the most tornadoes in the US ever in 2015?!?!
We on the Left have the only REAL scientists. Your 31,000 scientists are no good. Our 1200 are superior because the government has approved them. NEWSWEAK and TIME says that our scientists have the really truly real science. Your science is outside the settled circle. Therefore it is crap.
Remember:
The only thing that can save us is to give most of your money and all of your freedom to the government or the ocean might raise .00000734500009922 of a centimeter over the next 100 years!
“In the space of one hundred and seventy-six years the Lower Mississippi has shortened itself two hundred and forty-two miles. That is an average of a trifle over one mile and a third per year. Therefore, any calm person, who is not blind or idiotic, can see that in the Old Oolitic Silurian Period, just a million years ago next November, the Lower Mississippi River was upwards of one million three hundred thousand miles long, and stuck out over the Gulf of Mexico like a fishing-rod. And by the same token any person can see that seven hundred and forty-two years from now the Lower Mississippi will be only a mile and three-quarters long, and Cairo and New Orleans will have joined their streets together, and be plodding comfortably along under a single mayor and a mutual board of aldermen.
There is something fascinating about science.
One gets such wholesale returns of conjecture out of such a trifling investment of fact.”
- Life on the Mississippi
Cities cause local climate change, think globally act locally, tear down those liberal hell holes called cities....
Where do all these “global climate change” chicken little’s get their money? Follow the money! If there is no alarm about the climate, the money would stop flowing in to these socialists.
Unquestionably, Cruz has energized millions of us who were losing hope — daily watching progressives get away with blatant lies, corruption, unconstitutional and impeachable acts of treason and worse.
Yeah, and now Cruz is even sticking it to the tired old global warming crowd. Does your heart boundless good to hear those “View” witches cackle and bitch.
But how can he expect to win? The only thing he’s got going for him is honesty, integrity, love of country and Constitution, brilliant intelligence, eloquence and — maybe most important — the guts and will to stick it to the progressive scum as well as his “fellow” republican traitors.
I’m not rich, but I’m energized, for the first time in years! Here’s a guy we can follow through the bowels of hell.
I’m in for $50 and plan to keep on giving. http://www.tedcruz.org/?utm_source=p-email&utm_medium=email6&utm_campaign=email
Let’s step up.
Good one. Fox's Stossel interviewed people on the street in NYC, about global warming. Stossel asked about all the frigid snowy weather they were having. One gal said global warming is heating the ocean water, causing more moisture in the air which leads to more snow in the city. Stossel more or less said "Huh. So if the ocean water gets cooled then we'd have less snow!." The camera dwelt on the gal's puzzled face for a while as her head exploded in confusion.
Global Warming on Free Republic
I’m so happy he said that! It’s true and many know it is true.
Here is a link to that cartoon:http://www.thefederalistpapers.org/political-cartoon/global-temperature-data-falsified-for-years-to-show-warming-cartoon-reveals-why
Sorry, I don’t know how to post it.
