I have wondered about that as well - given the scum that infests the WH now. Obama would probably want to “negotiate” with them and take it to the UN.

No, No, No, No, and No.

Neither would any Republican president.

So you say NATO is a paper tiger that folds at the first challenge? Things are not ideal, but what makes you say THAT?

The Baltics have their own ‘diversity’ issues.

At the link there is a graphic with the percentages of Russians. Estonia and Latvia have about 25%; Lithuania just under 6%. It wouldn't take much for Putin to stir up the first two.

Hey CedarDave,

I post from Estonia. Russia tried it against us in their massive operation in 2007. First of all most of the Russians living here retreated to their homes as being part of horrible Russia is the last thing they want. Belligerent “youth” (many of them being Russian “vacationers”) were arrested by the police. Plastic strip around their arms and thrown into ship terminal to lie in their own piss and think about their life choices.

Same would happen in 2015. Ringleaders shot and the rest taken to lie in their own piss and think about what they did. Only massive Russian invasion would turn the tides against us.

True the French have more backbone, but they have experience. Is Kerry competent to pen a surrender all by himself even with ValJar direction?

After surrendering to Iran John Kerry said Global Warming is next on his agenda. Really.

Putin is acting like North Korea.

Look over here, over here, don’t you see how fearsome I am; pay attention to me me me me me me ..!!!

Don’t pay attention to Iran (or you might find out I’m helping Iran to get their nuke program up and running); just look over here, over here.

These stupid Americans .. they’re ruining everything.

No, I don't think Kerry is competent to negotiate his way to the men's bathroom.

Agreed. Sadly, in both the Korean and Vietnam conflicts the commanding generals frequently begged Washington to unleash the nukes. Of course, to no avail.

What percentage of Estonians are armed?

You say the Russian speaking population in Estonia wants nothing to do with being part of Russia?

Thanks for responding and its a treat to talk to someone on the edge of Russia as surely you know more about what is going on with the Russians than we do here in Texas.

It may come as some consolation to you that many millions of Americans have been arming themselves in recent years too. Some do it because they live in criminal neighborhoods and some because they fear the game vernment.

As for your 17 year old son, that’s such an existential and personal question that I am reluctant to weigh in on it other than to say I wish the both of you extreme good luck!

Stay in touch!

Potemkin or not, Russia won the war against Georgia even while we tried to support it.

Russia seems to have virtually won over Ukraine.

Don’t they also support Iran - and no one seems to have touched them?

Definitely! (Someday.) And until it comes, we’ll all probably have to pay taxes, on top of that!

Unless the Lord Jesus comes first, I mean...

The Russkies, in fact, did not achieve their objectives in Ukraine. Crimea was taken, yes, but the full territory of “NovoRussiya”, that Russian fantasy, still remains in Ukrainian hands. The Russkies, even after pumping Russian soldiers and advanced weaponry into Ukraine, are still only holding a small sliver of the East. That is why the Russkies are screwing around with cease fires and international agreements, because they’re hoping to use these negotiations to gobble up more territory. For example, agree to a ceasefire, have the Ukrainians pull back, then take more territory by accusing the Ukrainians of breaking the cease fire and pretending that the Ukrainians attack by marching in reverse, then negotiate a new cease fire.
