Epic fail. There is no economic growth. This country is sooo broke right now.
Got the gas guzzler, fireplace and the cigars all primed for the big day.
As Pat Buchanan said, they kicked God out of the schools, only to make the kids show up and worship dirt.
I think the “creators” of Earth Day did that deliberately.

To #2. I covered the first Earth Day in Wash. D.C and found it to be controlled by both Old Reds and New Reds, from Pete Seeger and Joan Baez, etc.
However, I did end up with a Swedish-American beautiful girl who let me use her back as a writing table. In return I gave her a ride home. Lost contact after I went to Vietnam and then Taiwan to study. A sparkling gem in an ocean of Betty Friedens.
As for the Earth, it’s still doing pretty well. Earth-Day had some good goals in mind, but the Left hijacked it just like they hijacked a good part of the Civil Rights Movement, the Gay rights movement, and the educational system (Common Core).

We try not to let an Erf Day go by without celebrating it somehow...
This year we have several trees to cut down and buck up for next fall’s firewood...Will burn the slash, of course...
The day will be remembered with loud noise and gasoline breeze from my trusty chainsaw, and rutted ground (and more gas exhaust) from the ATV used to skid the logs...
Culminating with a smoky grill, making perfect steaks for me and my grandsons for helping me...Topped off with ice-cold (thanks to electric ice maker) adult beverages trucked in thanks to diesel fuel...Enjoyed outdoors (weather permitting) on our well-lit patio...
Good as it gets...We’re doing our part to stave off the next ice age...Oh, and BTW, we always apologize and thank the trees for keeping us warm thru the winter...
Lights On. Going to see about a spotlight from a R2V or P3V - the kind you can read a newspaper from a mile away.
Do what comes naturally.
I’m discovering the depth of the truth that most “environmentalists” think humans should pile onto each other in concentrated areas devoid of nature, taking pains to not just damage “the environment” but not even come in contact with it.
I’m mulling over whether it’s because they idolize the concept of nature (conveniently overlooking the realities depicted above), or because they’re quietly terrified of it (precisely because of the realities depicted above).

That reminds me. I have a couple outside light bulbs that need replacing. Gotta have my whole house, inside and outside, lit up like a mall.
