HARRISBURG Attorney General Kathleen Kane's chief of staff resigned on Friday, four months into the job. Blake Rutherford, who took the position in December, follows others who left key positions under the embattled state prosecutor.
Four aides quit last year as a grand jury investigated Kane for allegedly leaking secret grand jury information. She has replaced five spokespeople since 2013, including one who quit in February.
Rutherford surprised staffers by emailing a notice that he had resigned.
Today is my last day at OAG. While I will miss working alongside each of you, I am excited about what this new chapter holds for me and my family, Rutherford wrote. He will join Cozen O'Connor, a Philadelphia law firm, in governmental relations.
The statewide grand jury in Norristown, which met for eight months, recommended charging Kane with crimes related to the leak of secret information last year from a separate grand jury investigation in 2009, court documents show.
Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman will decide whether to prosecute. Kane denies any wrongdoing.

Its like a line from the movie The Firm wherein the Cruz character points out to the FBI guy, how would you like to have on your resume having worked for this firm (the mob front).
All that staff turnover reminds me of the ex-mayor in Harrisburg, Linda Thompson.
Kane is pulling out all the stops Clinton style regarding the allegation against her with Lanny Davis doing spin.
Of course, Bill Clinton endorsed her in the Democrat primary for AG in 2012.
Elected mainly because so many people in PA thought it would be so stylish to have a woman AG.
But, were is he going? Cozen O’Connor? This guy is deep in PA gaming business and is close with Rendell. This guy knows something and he got set up with a sweet job to keep quiet.
Good question. Working for crooks is a resume builder for most Democrats. But even crooks have their standards. The fact that they aren’t stepping up to defend Kathleen Kane tells you she has probably crossed the line . . .

Good news. But it would be even better news one year from now.
