Poll: Yes to more aggressive deportations, no to welfare, citizenship for kids of illegals
Washington Examiner ^ | APRIL 6, 2015 | PAUL BEDARD

A new Rasmussen Reports survey released Monday also finds Americans questioning spending tax dollars on government aid provided to illegal immigrants. A huge 83 percent said that anybody should be required to prove that they are "legally allowed" to be in the country before receiving local, state or federal government services.

EXCERPT...

For example, 62 percent told the pollster that the U.S. is “not aggressive enough” in deporting those illegally in the United States. Just 15 percent believed the administration’s current policy was “about right” and 16 percent said it was “too aggressive.”

That 62 percent number is a jump from a year ago when it was 52 percent.

Few people realize that the children of illegals can then have their parents stay here legally because of the family reunification part of our immigration mess. So drop a baby in the USA, and Uncle Sap has given you a ticket to stay. What a country. These parents should never have the right to vote.

I note in today’s Corpus Christi Caller Times an AP story from Austin that indicates the Texas House is considering repeal of the 2001 Instate Tuition Bill for ‘Dreamers’. The bill essentially rewards illegal parents with our tax money. Enough.

Sadly, no—Cruz would legalize illegals here presently.

You are sadly misinformed. Cruz is STRONGLY against illegals.

No one running or thinking of running is as strong as Cruz on this issue.

He makes sure he *sounds* like he’s strongly against illegals, but he has clearly said he would legalize those here—just stop short of giving them citizenship.

here are Ted’s stand on the issue:

- End Obama’s illegal amnesty via Congress’ checks & balances

- Defund amnesty; and refuse any nominees until rescinded

- No path to citizenship

- Give police more power to ask about immigration status

- Boots on the ground, plus a wall

No doubt in why Bostonians IN DROVES protested last fall's illegal onslaught at the border. Bostonians were still reeling from the Boston Marathon bombing---now discovered 144 counties were crossing the border into the US......and were coming to Massachusetts.

After the Boston bombing, Mass Gov Deval Patrick ordered Massachusetts govt agencies to conceal welfare documents from taxpayers. But sources who saw 500 pages of welfare documents (requested by a state legislator) told News Center 5 that the entire Chechnyan immigrant Tsarnaev family collected upwards of $100,00 tax dollars free and clear. MA taxpayers financed the killing and maiming of their own friends and neighbors.

===================================================

INSULT TO INJURY Massachusetts taxpayers footing the bills were understandably upset: Adult illegals, trucked into their state from the border, were posing as "unaccompanied alien children," and were attempting to enroll in MA public high schools.

“Some of them had gray hair, saying they’re 17 years old, and have no documentation,” said Lynn mayor’s office.School policy is to check w/ family----who confirmed at least one HS enrollee was a 35-year old adult.

Gray-haired men enrolling in MA schools? More like drug lords infiltrating schools---planning to set up lifelong lucrative businesses getting kids addicted......giving out free samples. Could also be sex traffickers ---lining up kiddies for johns (and for pedophiles) who pay big bucks to get ahold of the little darlings.

Right—but you’re not including his most important position—to legalize the illegals currently here.

You’re using his approach, which is to sound tough be listing his supposedly tough positions without volunteering that he would also provide amnesty to the 20 million-plus illegals here currently. (And if you don’t think they’d soon enough be carried over the finish line from there to citizenship and a tripling by chain migration, you aren’t thinking right.)

Only Ted Cruz is on top of this issue!

On this issue, he's already got 60% of the vote.
Americans have to pay for housing, feeding, clothing, educating, medicating, and translating for hundreds of thousands of these people in the middle of an economy that mirrors the great depression - and oboma is even picking them up and flying more of them in!

They're the perfect future democrat voter. That's all that matters. Let the slaving, impoverished taxpayers eat cake.

Our sap-happy government cannot assure the taxpaying public that it is now enforcing immigration laws already on the books.

NTL REVIEW/BY DAVID HANSON----The Boston Bomber brothers---riding the US gravy train w/ numerous immigrant family members--- offer us a teachable moment about what has become near-suicidal US immigration policies.

LAWS CURRENTLY ON THE BOOKS BEING RELENTLESSLY VIOLATED:

(1) foreign nationals in the US must at least avoid criminal activity,

(2) foreigners must stay off public assistance,

(3) the US govt is disinclined to grant "asylum" (means a free ride on the US gravy train and endless SS payments) to “fearful refugees” from war-torn Islamic regions,

(4) on-the-book govt mandates that force struggling taxpayers to foot the bill for the refugees to go back and forth between America and their supposedly hostile homelands on the taxpayers' dime.

You are falling for MSNBC propaganda.

It’s a retorical trick the left uses to try and trick our candidates during questioning and to drive a wedge between them and the their base.

No candidate running or thinking of running is stronger on this issue than Cruz.

I haven’t fallen for an inch of MSNBC propaganda.

And I agree, no other GOP candidate running is stronger on the issue.

Which ought to wake up the tea party to get a real candidate in there.

Instead, Cruz and his ilk have apparently fooled and lulled even too many Freepers into thinking that he is somehow “good” on illegal immigration.

When he isn’t.

I agree. Cruz needs to ride it heavily, keying on the national security angle. Americans are notoriously fickle and can change their minds on a dime (one Ras poll last year showed a majority supported amnesty), so he needs to be aggressive.

Wouldn’t surprise me. Abbott would sign it.

quote from article

“A huge 83 percent said that anybody should be required to prove that they are “legally allowed” to be in the country before receiving local, state or federal government services.”

THAT is the key number and what will propel Cruz to the presidency!

“Cruz has stated that he is for legalization of illegals..non-starter.”

Need more details. Legalization is not the same as naturalizing them as citizens or allowing them to become the same. Making them legal in the population is not necessarily the same as making them citizen.
