I'd say that this is an improvement over the facilities offered during the Clinton Administration. There were NONE for visitors on the White House tour. My daughter was expecting her first child (17 1/2 years ago) and we had to race across Lafayette Park to a dirty public rest room because she was quite uncomfortable by the end of the tour, and there was NOTHING at the White House for visitors.

I don't know what it's like now, but we were greeted by larger than life sized, black and white, photos of Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea in the room where we waiting to meet the tour guide. It was nauseating.

I went to the White House TWICE last Fall ... first return since the glorious days when the Reagans lived there. AND, first since 9/11/01. Now you wait outside until your scheduled time (after @ 45 minute wait, weather not withstanding) then go thru 2-3 levels of screening (having already had a check done of your SS# in making the reservation). There are NO guided tours. It’s now all self guided. AND, they’ve cut out a lot of the tour that used to be included, i.e., Diplomatic reception room. They’ve added lots of pix of former tenants, I guess for historical context.

BONUS: No life size cutouts of the Obamas.
