Six in 10 U.S. voters say Iran unlikely to honor nuclear agreement: poll

Six in 10 U.S. voters say Iran is unlikely to hold up its end of a framework that would lift some economic sanctions on the country in exchange for a reduction in some of its nuclear developments.

Sixty-one percent say Iran is unlikely to comply and 30 percent say it’s not at all likely, said a Rasmussen poll released Thursday.

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said Thursday he neither supports nor opposes the deal and demanded that all sanctions be lifted on Iran when any deal is signed, Reuters reported. His remarks on sanctions echoed the sentiments of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
