To me the question is - how would he know what numbers to have the machine give him for a supposedly future random drawing. Did the game allow him to pick his own numbers upon purchase of the ticket?

I don’t know, but I guess if I happened to win I might have some sort of legal battle on my hands. But of course, you have to play to win, and I don’t waste money on lottery drawings.
