But jokes weren’t the only thing missing; also notably absent from the ceremony was quarterback Tom Brady. Team officials said Brady was unavailable because of a family commitment.

I don't really care about the NFL.

But I applaud Tom for finding something else to do.

I also notice the Florida media, ALWAYS eager to kiss Obama's backside, has AVOIDED reporting this story.

Is Obama tone-deaf or arrogant or dumb? (or all of the above). To attack "Boston Proud" just a few days after the anniversary of the marathon bombing is really low-class.

As a NY Giants fan. I’ve never had much use for Tom Brady other than to see him sacked. But now I’m beginning to see him in a different light.

He made a deflategate joke this year, but didn’t make any PED (Performance Enhancing Drug) jokes with the Searoids last year. Interesting.

The media really doesn’t like the Patriots, and I just cannot figure out why that is. Maybe they have too many who are “gritty”, “blue collar”, “throwback”, “lunch pail carrying”, “crafty”, “sneaky fast”, “high motor” “gym rats” on the team.

Maybe. But I’m not so sure about him hiding behind some ‘prior committments’ if in fact he considers -bama as a no good, no account communist no worth the sweat on his dirty jock strap.

I’d much more prefer and respect him a lot more if he would simply call a spade a spade. Other athletes have done it.

I believe the Brady family are staunch Catholics. As such, it would have been unforgivable of him to attend. They could not pay me enough to attend any WH function.
