Independents elect presidents? Tell that to President Romney, oh wait he won the independents and lost votes in what should have been his base. Pandering only leads to L’s. If I have to piss off a third of my base by going liberal to gain a third of the independents what good has it done me?

State your beliefs and stick to them, win or lose. Right now the pandering to the independents has got us two wins and paper thin at that in 2000 and 2004, otherwise it is a failed strategy.

I believe Cruz can get the Independents. And, he is my candidate.

I was implying that when it sinks in that Cruz is never heard saying that he will eject illegals out of the country, except for those with criminal arrest records, to a lot of freepers, that will amount to amnesty, because they are on the record demanding total ejection as their standard.

Personally, I believe amnesty is here to stay, and no candidates are saying any different. Including Cruz.

When it is noticed that Cruz is not opposing amnesty I expect a freeper freak out, collapse, and refusal to vote at all.

Independents won’t freak. Neither will I.

Cruz has addressed the illegals coming in. He stops illegals coming in, period. He says the criminals are sent out; the others already here are identified, stay, not allowed to become citizens, cannot vote, cannot have free benefits, have cards to work and that’s it. From that point, I think there will be a severe penalty if a company hires an illegal and Cruz will enforce that law.

There is no way to make millions of illegals already here, leave. Anyone who doesn’t get that, has an IQ problem. Cruz will stop illegals coming here, whatever it takes to do that. No more will get here. It has to stop or the country will fold. Cruz knows that.

Absolutely, Cruz will close the border. Criminals will be deported. I believe that.

The rest (on the subject of benefits) is certainly called for, and its all possible, but still it’s rather a guess as to what a Republican president can actually get done against benefits for illegals, unless it’s by his fiat, or, unless we keep/maintain both houses of congress.

Just saying, that we have seen many Cruzers, here, who call anything less than complete deportation of all illegals, Amnesty. I find that highly interesting. Sort of. Thx, Marcella.
