Vatican recognizes state of Palestine in new treaty

The Vatican has officially recognized the state of Palestine in a new treaty.

The treaty, which was finalized Wednesday but still has to be signed, makes clear that the Holy See has switched its diplomatic relations from the Palestinian Liberation Organization to the state of Palestine.

The Vatican had welcomed the decision by the U.N. General Assembly in 2012 to recognize a Palestinian state. But the treaty is the first legal document negotiated between the Holy See and the Palestinian state and constitutes an official recognition.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is due to see Pope Francis on Saturday before the canonization of two new saints from the Holy Land a day later.

Bully for them.

Now force them to sit down and draw (approximately) the border of this ‘state.’

"...force them to sit down and draw....the border of this ‘state.’"

That border will be similar to that of the present state of Israel - but the Vatican knows that.

When I was young, the Catholic Church was Christian.

This Pope has embarked on a path that is dangerous for the church.
Getting involved in leftist political causes is a bad decision for several reasons, not the least of which is that it is divisive within the church.

Not all Catholics are leftist radicals or supporters of muslim cutthroats. Most church goers don’t go to church to support leftist causes.

It is easy for the church, or anyone else, to become involved - tyrants, leftists and radicals are always happy to have help pushing their agenda.

But it is much more difficult to drop support or go back to being non-political.

Once you support them there is no end to their demands and they will expect your support as an ally in everything they do.

I thought the church had learned something from their experience with Hitler 75 years ago but if so, this Pope seems to have forgotten it.

There are no Palatines, there never have been...

In the Bible, it warns of the Philistines....they were a waring group and people were warned to be careful of them...

Where this ‘palatine’ thing comes from is from man, not God...

If this pope: “Peter the Roman” wants to go down that road, then he'll answer to a much greater power....

I’m a Catholic. I’m a Bible believing Catholic. I put the Bible first. I love my Church and love my faith. AND I AM SIMPLY APPALLED TO NO END WITH THE MARXIST LEADERSHIP FROM THE VATICAN THESE SAYS!!!!

BTW-—I feel the same way about my own country.

Bingo. This pope is also a global warmist.
The prophesied "last pope", btw, sides once again with the left (anti-christ) just like it did with Hitler during WWII.
If you read the description of the harlot in Revelation (a woman represents a church), you'll see the description of this woman also fits the items utilized by the priests of the Catholic church. She'll be responsible for the death of many Christians (the saints) during the tribulation. She'll also support the Antichrist agenda, but eventually it will all turn on HER and destroy her. It'll be the end of her rein.
The lost book of Nostradamus, the picture book, has drawings of the wheel found on the ground in front of the Vatican all the way trough it, but as the pages are turned, you see people moving away from the church, and on the last page that wheel is no longer there. PC or Darwinian type Historians think it's just the wheel of life, but the picture story is describing the history of the Catholic church right down to the end of it. (Back in Nostradamus's day, the church was all powerful and therefore very important in his prophecies.)

Jesus warned us, saying many will “will betray one another, and will hate one another.” We hear all kinds of warnings about how evil the world is and will become. We need to hear the warnings about how corruption will attack Christians from inside the church. We are in for dark times, both in the Catholic and Protestant churches.

Get ready for the backlash from Catholics on here. They can’t argue with the truth though.
