Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose. When ISIS began its attack on Ramadi last week, the Iraqi government threw in its elite units, hoping to stem the tide of the radical Sunni advance and the overall targeting of Baghdad proper. Instead of pushing ISIS back, what transpired was a repeat of the flight from Mosul and other former Iraqi strongholds — a disorganized rout.

IF that was their “elite”, then they don’t have a chance.

Routing seems to be something the Iraqi army is good at.

Was that “elite” or “effete” Iraqi units?

We trained the Iraqi Army for about 10 years. End result: They couldn’t defeat a group of 3rd graders equipped with spit balls and Burger King straws.

Pathetic.

“Elite” has become so overused that it has become meaningless. There is far too much talk about military units, methods and tactics today, and too much talk is dangerous. Some of our “elite” units suffer from diarrhea of the mouth, so it was refreshing to hear how little was said about the recent raid in Syria. Bravo Zulu to “the unit I think it was” for a job well done and also for keeping your mouths shut about it.

Any idea why not? I always thought countries with that much incest have real biological problems. It cannot be healthy for a baby boy in the womb to be carried by a vitamin D deficient mother covered in a Burka. In fact, I cannot picture much positive there.

With a little resolve we could end this sh*t in an afternoon before tea time.

It's just that we don't want to for some reason. We all know what it is, but nobody says anything.

That’s Zero’s plan! Arm the Iraqi’s with some of our good weapons and gear then have them run when ISIS says Boo leaving every thing behind for ISIS to recover. Easy way for Zero to transfer arms to ISIS. Zero won’t directly supply arms to the Kurds because he knows they will actually use them to kill his buddies!

Maybe saddam’s army where officers executed their own men for desertion is the only model that works with these people

You actually may have a point. There is a lot of malnutrition there. But I have another theory...

Quietly, in moments of reflection, many Muslims feel that if they fight ISIS they will be doing something against Islam, simply because ISIS practices a super fundamentalist form of Islam. So, instead of fighting they drop their weapons (for ISIS) and run.
