The makeshift mid-street memorial that marked where Michael Brown was fatally shot by a police officer last summer was cleared out Wednesday — what would have been his 19th birthday — amid plans to install a permanent plaque in his memory nearby.
"I would like the memory of Michael Brown to be a happy one," the marker reads, bearing a likeness of Brown in a graduation cap and gown. "He left an afterglow of smiles when life was done. He leaves an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy and loving times and bright and sunny days.
"He'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun of happy memories that he left behind when life was done."

That’s not how I remember him. The burned out street in a hopeless city will be an enduring memorial.
Are they going to build a statue of a thug robbing a liquor store
And the memorial to Convenient Store Clerks and Maligned Innocent Police Officers will be where?
The “Dare of the Day” will be to pee on it.
Maybe they can have a statue of him skipping off to College with an armful of books.
If you read those words as written, the statement is quite true.
But it doesn't mean what they think it means.
Live like a thug, die like a thug.
They celebrate the life of a thug and wonder why people think blacks are criminals.
How about a statue with Brown over the officer trying to pull the gun out of his holster to shoot him

Michael Brown was scum that deserved to die.
The memory of this Thug will be used to victimize other innocent folks.
He accomplished nothing good in this life and I am glad this rubbish is gone.

Of course he did, all those in the looting "Gimmedat" crowd wiping out stores and livelihoods, got away with millions in goods and property destruction.
