One can: Ted Cruz. He is a master of public speaking and in just a few words, put Hillary Clinton in her place in no time flat.

George Bush best Ann Richards just by being gentlemanly in his arguments. So all the c candidate has to do is to treat Mrs. Clinton as a lady without being condescending. What amazes me in 2008 was how Obama got away with being so condescending with Clinton. It could be, of course, that he was expressing the real feelings of a lot of Democrats about her, and because he was black, she could not effectively counter him. Going back to Ann Richards, she could not counter Bush because she was not the sort of person who wanted to play the victim card.

Hillary will do anything & I do mean anything to avoid a live debate with Ted Cruz. Why does she reject debating Ted?
To paraphrase the late great William F. Buckley Jr:
“Why does baloney reject the grinder!”

Somehow all this being “gentlemanly” towards female politicians didn’t apply to Sarah Palin in 2008, did it? She was a punchline on every late night show and all the Democrats, and sadly a good many Republicans, piled on her too. The only reason the Clinton campaign will use this ploy is to avoid having her answer the tough questions of her policies and her activities surrounding the Clinton Foundation. In other words, she’s avoiding scrutiny and crying gender discrimination gets an already compliant media to feel sorry for her and give her cover. The gloves have to come off. This woman is long overdue for a political and ethical schooling in front of the American people.

Ann “Ma” Richards did use her gender to win the Texas governorship when her near-certain-of-victory opponent Clayton Williams made a verrrrry impolitic remark about the inevitability of weather & rape.
But saying GHW Bush was “born with a silver foot in his mouth” in that grating drawl didn’t help things, either.
