The health of a democratic polity depends in no small part on the generousness of its civic discourse — that is, opposing sides ought to give one another the benefit of the doubt. If same-sex marriage proponents allowed that same-sex marriage opponents might, just might, be motivated by something other than animal hatred, we might be able to reach solutions that balance the competing interests unavoidably present in any political body.
But our discourse is growing increasingly ungenerous. We ought not be surprised when the result is less debate and more dishonesty and coercion.

Why does no one listen to the flaws in their “studies”, such as the hockey stick climate change, when they are pointed out. It’s because they become part of a religious belief, a ‘received truth’ if you will.
And so ingrained is the religious belief structure, that you might as well try to convince a Islamist that all Methodists aren’t simply targets for looting, rape, and enslavement.
The other side does not want a democratic polity. They want a People's Democratic polity, and they get to decide who "the people" are.

You are right and anyone with a brain should be horrified. Diversity has come to be anti-diversity for it demands that thought processes be forced into the mode of the far left anarchists and no civilized debate will be allowed. Those who try to have a civil conversation will be threatened with violence and shut up, if possible. We have seen that take place in colleges all over this land as conservative speakers have been shouted down, disinvited, and had their lives threatened by small groups of anarchists. The big megaphones from the media, controlled by the government elites and the celebrity world will tell you how and what to think and if you want to survive, you will be forced to comply. Good has become evil and evil has become good. The wise in America, I am guessing are seldom glad because they see all the familiar trends taking place here which have destroyed societies from the beginning of time. I am hoping that the current Presidential candidates will do what they can to speak the truth to the public as they campaign. Perhaps some of it will get out to an out of touch population, many of which are too ignorant to know their very existence may be at stake, if terror has it’s way.

The Left really don’t want anything other than their pov.
What I find ironic is how even the so-called special groups attack each other too, it’s pretty much ego taken to an extreme rather than diversity.
In recent months:
Rosie O’Donnell’s wife who supposedly was perfect for her and stayed with her through a heart attack just suddenly dumped her for a supermodel.
A gay guy got forced out of school on a rape charge on the morning after a whole night of fun together for kissing.
All I can see is that this movement puts on a mask of being super-righteous, an act of hypocrisy that puts the Pharisees to shame.
I believe it’s true, it’s most likely that there’s at least a majority who will support it at this point. Considering that 1/3 and growing of America is either atheist or doesn’t belong to any religion at all, it sounds pretty accurate that in addition to a large chunk of people belonging to religion, you would get a majority fully in favor nationwide, or even statewide.
Yes, but taxpayers are just too uninformed to know that they have been conned again and again.
The word “diversity” is pretty new in a political sense: I don’t think it was used at all prior to 1970 or even 1980. Anti-Reaganites were among the first to embrace the concept.
Since we all know that any “STUDY” these people make, at our expense, are “FAKED”, why do we even listen to them? I have a better idea, Every time these “ELITES” come up with this “STUDY” or that “STUDY”, why don’t we just brand as that “A FAKE”. Why should we care what these “LIBERALS, SOCIALISTS and COMMUNISTS” lame stream media says?
