In Obama's Middle East there's only one problem - Netanyahu (resumes criticizing election remarks)

Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei stated this week that Iran "will not allow any inspections of military sites by foreigners." He also vowed to resist "coercion and excessive demands" on the part of a "brazen enemy," meaning the U.S.

U.S. President Barack Obama was not overly concerned by those statements. A nuclear agreement with Iran is essentially a done deal as far as Obama is concerned, so Iranian rhetoric no longer carries any weight. So goes the thinking at the White House. In fact, Obama is much more perturbed by what Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on election day some two months ago.

Speaking with The Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg this week, Obama went out of his way to castigate Netanyahu over an election day video message, in which he warned that "Arab voters are coming out in droves." Even though the Israeli premier has already apologized for making this remark, Obama once again attacked him, preaching that Netanyahu's message ran "contrary to the very language of the Israeli Declaration of Independence" and warning of "foreign policy consequences."

Khamenei's latest rhetorical gems, however, did not give Obama any pause. As usual, Khamenei's comments always escape scrutiny in Obama's world. In other words, Iran may continue being a rogue state that sponsors terrorism and propagates anti-Semitism. It can continue to destabilize Sunni Arab states and show its contempt toward American values and at the same time be completely trustworthy, because it is obviously a rational actor. The world can strike a deal with Iran with its eyes wide shut. But Netanyahu? That is something else. As far as Obama is concerned, he has been blacklisted. He will not be invited back to the White House, at least not anytime soon.

I seriously never thought I'd never see the day when the President of the United States would alienate Israel and attempt to appease a sworn enemy...who repeatedly state such.

Don't bother. I know Obamahole is a Muslim sympathizer having spent so much time in Indonesia. This f*cker is going to be the cause of nuclear escalation in the Middle East. Just read Saudia Arabia is looking to buy nukes from Pakistan. When the mushroom clouds start blooming in the Middle East, THAT will be his legacy. Wonder what the members of the Nobel committee will think of him then, not to mention current events.

The one problem is the U.S. long-standing two-state solution [pre-dates Obama], on which, the USA and Israel disagree. Either we must change or Israel must change.

Bush was caught flat-footed when Hamas won the election in Gaza. Obviously he knew nothing about the situation on the ground except what his advisers told him. So which adviser did he listen to?

Try not to make it extra complicated. The Obamaroids in DC can yap about two-state stuff to no consequence. Israel has to live with what they got——and they will. The Palis can call themselves whatthebleepever they want to be and as long as they mind their manners they won’t lose what they have left. One more snivelfest rocketparty out of them and they can kiss the rest of Gaza goodbye. Getting their butz kicked up between their shoulder blades is the one thing they understand clearly.

I would luv to see Israels ‘war plans’ for Iran. Bet their strategy is detailed to the max and ready to go at a moments notice. Meanwhile ours not only doesn’t seem to exist it doesn’t have so much as a name.

Israeli government has always accepted a two-state solution, at least since it was proposed after the ‘67 war when it was made clear Egypt and Jordan didn’t want Gaza and the West Bank back.

Avigdor Lieberman, leading Israeli skeptic of the two-state solution, was left out of the current Israeli government.

I thought the United States had a long tradition of respecting the decision of the people as expressed in legitimate, fair elections.

Both in this country, and abroad.

Another type of fundamental change, I guess.

Someday our high level experts and costly intelligence agencies might actually get something right.
