SACRAMENTO - A lawmaker's proposal to offer Medi-Cal coverage to immigrants living in the country without documentation made it through a key legislative committee Thursday, although the bill was significantly scaled back to benefit primarily those aged 19 and under.
SB4 by state Sen. Ricardo Lara, D-Bell Gardens (LA County) was narrowed to reduce the cost by allowing older immigrants to enroll in the medical system for low-income people each year only as state funds are available to cover them.
The bill would also authorize the state to seek a federal waiver so it could extend health insurance under its Covered California exchange to immigrants in the country without documentation. Those immigrants would be eligible only for unsubsidized insurance, and would pay full price.

La MECHA (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán) will soon realize it’s dream of the return of the taken lands, Southwestern US, back to it’s rightful and blessed owners ... the Mexicans .... who took it from the natives.
And they will turn the ‘Golden State’ into Mexico north. Then they won’t want to live there either and will move to the states that are still successful. I never thought I would see a state commit suicide.........ever.
My kids will at least experience a little of what it is like to grow up in the the USA. Their kids won’t.

Why nor give that money to American eldercare or for cancer treatment since they at least paid taxes in their life?
Drip, drip, drip. Oh sorry, I forgot California is running out of water too. The Democrats are so pathetic in that state they have absolutely no clue what a horrendous mess they’re in. Business as usual. Let’s spend and spend, and when we finish doing that let’s raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour in SF and LA. Oh, and while we’re at it let’s give illegals expanded healthcare. Pure lunacy out there. I see the 9.8 earthquake didn’t take out California today. No worries they’ll spend themselves to their own destruction.
