Yup! And we were often known by that abbreviation. When we hired Amy, I knew I needed to come up with a fitting band name. Was at work the next day, and was removing paper from circuit boards using MEK, and it struck me as perfect! Milwaukee band. Zappa stuff and similar originals. We were rather notorious!
Hey, forget about Bernie Sanders’ revealing sexual fantasies and weirdo tastes. Let’s talk about something really sexy - like how Dennis Hastert is being blackmailed and prosecuted by the feds for paying blackmail at the same time.

It was wonderful! Constant songwriting, experimenting. I wish the band had still been together when I met FZ! He and I had a blast! I’ll bet he would have recorded MEK. And, surprising as it may seem, although I was a Hippy, I was very Conservative! I got along very well with Frank.
Cool to converse with someone who knew FZ personally ;-). Such a shame the big C took him away so early. ‘Roxy & Elsewhere’ always puts a smile on my face...Funny stuff.
Took him and his bodyguard John to a club in Milwaukee. Club owner asked Frank to do a “meet and greet” line. I would go down the line and get people’s names, and introduce them to Frank. One young girl asked me “Is that really Mr. Zeppelin?” I introduced her to Frank, “Bonnie, this is Mr. Zeppelin.” Frank took it in stride, but his bodyguard had to stuff his fist in his mouth. He was laughing so hard that his whole body was shaking! For the next three days, John and I addressed Frank as Mr. Zeppelin. Hilarious. Never bought another ticket. Gail would call me and tell me Frank was looking forward to seeing me, and that backstage passes were waiting for me. Interesting guy. Brilliant. Big loss!
