My prediction: there will be an economic crisis in 2016.

This has happened in almost every other presidential election year since 1980. The result it the opposition party coming into power.

1980 brought us Reagan
1992 brought us Clinton
2000 brought us Bush
2008 brought us Obama
2016 will bring us a Republican

Right now, the economy is being held together by smoke and mirrors (government printing money, the Fed holding down interest rates). When the people currently in power are looking for their jobs after Obama leaves, the give up trying to hold things together.

The Republicans who are running for office now should focus on the economic issues. That is what concerns the average voter the most. Attention needs to be focused on the fraud economy, and the Democrats who are responsible for it.

Yes, more people rushing into 10 hour per week jobs.

We are saved.

A few years ago it was said that anything below 400,000 a month in new jobs would put us deeper in the unemployment hole.

Unable/incapable of meeting those kind of numbers, the Obama Administration relies upon a shrinking work-force, enlarged by persistent long term unemployment, to reduce the rate of reported “unemployment” by reducing the numerator part of the equation by people “dropping” off of the rolls.......

Commies always fudge their numbers for their LIV followers. Obama is no exception to this, He is a classic Communist “Ruler.”

Todays U-6 still remains above 11%. The number of Americans not counted in the labor pool is at a record high, both numerically and on a percentage basis. True unemployment is well over 20%. and even worse if you count in the underemployed and those holding multiple jobs just to make ends meet..........

In 2016 we’ll need a Constitutional “Leader” elected as President, not forgetting that a Conservative Congress would be necessary for him/her to turn things around in any short term space of time and given that the left, and their RINO helpers, will do everything in their power to keep America at the lowest “new normal” as possible.

“If we get a good conservative administration in 2017, a lot of this stuff will be examined and found to be bogus.”

Has this ever happened in the entire 70 years of so that these statistics have been put out by the U. S. census department? Not as far as I know. As politically important as these figures are, you would think that the party out of power would complain to high heaven if they suspected the figures were being manipulated. Yet we hear nothing, even from aspiring presidential candidates.

From the BLS website that you gave me and their example:

Ms. Jenkins tells the interviewer that her teenage daughter, Katherine Marie, was thinking about looking for work in the prior 4 weeks but knows of no specific efforts she has made. Katherine Marie does not meet the activity test for unemployment and is, therefore, counted as not in the labor force.

Here’s another:

As mentioned previously, the labor force is made up of the employed and the unemployed. The remainder—those who have no job and are not looking for one—are counted as not in the labor force. Many who are not in the labor force are going to school or are retired.

The thing that concerns me is this -— by many measures, a significant number of those who either have NO JOB and ARE NOT LOOKING FOR ONE, are NOT among those who are students or retired.

This is a huge number and is NOT reflected in the 5.5% unemployment rate. If they were, the REAL unemployment rate would be more than DOUBLE that.

Shadow Stats shows the unemployment rate somewhere around 23%. My question is, where are all those paid Media Matters trolls who come over here touting their statistics on how great the economy is? You know, those who all joined FR in January 2013? Are they till sleeping it off? I suspect they will show up before long.
