Obama's trade package barely advances in razor-thin House vote (Rules for the bill final vote Fri)
Washington Examiner ^ | June 11, 2015 | Susan Ferrechio

The House on Thursday just barely advance legislation that would provide President Obama with "fast track" trade negotiating powers, overcoming the opposition of almost every Democrat and a significant block of conservative Republicans.

The rule for considering these bills passed by a vote of 217-212, a vote that was only made possible thanks to the late decision of eight Democrats to vote for it, a rare show of support from Democrats who normally vote against Republicans at this stage of the legislative process.

That Democratic support was sorely needed, as nearly three dozen Republicans voted against the measure.

Passage of the rule allows the House to proceed to debate and take a final vote Friday on the trade promotion authority bill as well as the trade adjustment assistance act. The TPA extends powers awarded to the president to negotiate trade bills in an expedited fashion and with little opportunity for Congress to alter them.

I don’t think we will ever get a chance to read it.

Obama will always have the treasonous GOP,
defenders (despite their lies before the Election)
of ObamaCARE, Amnesty, Tyranny and SECRET Agreements
(to remove country of origin on food,
to remove US workers,
to remove Constitutional protections, etc.).

If you are a pubbie aligned with 0 then you are seriously on the wrong side. No pubbie should vote for the TPA under the present circumstances, not one. This authority is intended to destroy the Republic. Ask George Sorous. The intent is to destroy our national sovereignty. IMHO.

Well at least the mask is off and the pubs can’t even pretend to be the opposition any more.
Looks like a golden opportunity for some 2016 candidate to speak out against this.
Walker is already on record supporting this disaster.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I believe even Cruz supports it.
I was solidly in his camp but now I find myself searching.
Rand?

All we are hearing from these “SPINELESS WHORES” is “TRUST US, WE KNOW BETTER THAN YOU”. Considering their failures in just about everything, why shouldn’t we be allowed to read it first? Let’s look at what they’ve done. DISNEY HAS FIRED ALL THEIR AMERICAN WORKERS, AND REPLACED THEM WITH IMPORTED WORKERS”. To add insult to injury, the fired workers have to first train the imported workers, before they are fired. THIS IS ALL LEGAL. Because of the way these “SPINELESS WHORES” wrote the bill, what Disney did was all “LEGAL”. You think that maybe if we got to read that bill before it became law, this part of the law could have been deleted?

I know scores of people who were for Sen. Cruz,
but now no more.

Sen. Cruz is a self-admitted traitor to the US Constitution
and transparency, nuanced like Kerry to defend the
corrupt when he can.

Well Boehner is twisting arms and paying bribes just like the Dems did on Obamacare. He will get his monster passed. Its just another outrage agains’t all the good republicans that put these treasonous quislings back in the majority. I am just sick of all of them.

How can things ever change when there are only 34 courageous conservatives that voted no?

Yeah...the fix is probably in. Those who figure they needed cover got it and it passed like they wanted.

Not sure who we can trust anymore. They’re selling our jobs to foreigners.
