Biker Arrested at Twin Peaks: "I Was Nothing More Than a Witness"

A biker arrested after the shootings at the Twin Peaks on May 17 that killed nine and left 18 injured in Waco said Monday he was falsely imprisoned for more than two weeks.

"We're supposed to believe in our justice system and that it's supposed to operate in a way that protects us and also a way of 'innocent until proven guilty,'" said Matthew Alan Clendennen. "It seems very obvious here, they took the opposite approach, 'guilty until proven guilty.'"

Clendennen, 30, a member of the Scimitar Motorcycle Club, said he researched the club before joining to see if there were negative news reports about the club.

"What I was drawn to was the fact that every person I had talked to was a hard-working individual, supported their families, were actively involved in charity events and giving back to their community," said Clendennen.

Clendennen's attorney said he has filed a civil lawsuit saying his client's arrest and detention is unconstitutional.

Attorneys for three other bikers arrested May 17 also spoke Monday.

Attorney Brian Bouffard is representing Jorge Solis, a decorated U.S. Marine. Holding up a photo of Solis he said "This is not a thug."

Attorney Rick Rousseau is representing retired MSGT Darrell Walker and Army veteran Rolando Reyes. He said what's happened to his clients, after serving their country, is a "tremendous injustice."

Did Waco gov't not see this coming from the get-go? Do they think they can defend successfully? Or are they just incompetent?

I would LOVE to be on the jury of his civil suit...can you say low 8 figure damage award for him and his family. Of course the Waco city government’s insurance company will likely try to settle for less than a million. Meanwhile, the Waco prosecutors who are stuck with this “tar baby” are trying to wish and pray their way of mess they’ve created for themselves and the city who pays them far more than they deserve.

I am very interested in the coroner’s report on who was killed buy who. I’m betting not many “bikers” were shooting AR type weapons.

IIRC, by this time in the timeline, the Gentle Giant had three autopsies done.

We have yet to get a complete, unedited autopsy report on JFK.

Texas just has a different way of doing things, and not always in a good way.

Biker Arrested at Twin Peaks: "I Was Nothing More Than a Witness"

I think that right there is the problem. He needed to be intimidated into keeping his mouth shut while the official story is worked out. Of course with 170 or so people that intimidation isn't going to work 100%... The real story will get out.

I heard one was shot in the heart and 6 shot in the head. Swat sniper? The police had them surrounded before the shooting started. I also hear that the cops are after all the “three piece” patches.

"We're supposed to believe in our justice system and that it's supposed to operate in a way that protects us and also a way of 'innocent until proven guilty,'" said Matthew Alan Clendennen.

That was then. This is now. As evidenced by these threads, too many on this forum believe that if you ride a motorcycle, you are a subhuman, fit only for extermination. this is the same line of thought that resulted in the attempted extermination of the Jews in the 1930s and early 40s in Europe. The next step in this progression will be if one drives a Ford rather than a Chevrolet.

I am not going to argue one way or the other that "outlaw" what ever that means motorcycle clubs do this, that ,or the other. If they do, and there are criminal statutes that forbid the deed, charge those who commit these acts, arrest them, and if the evidence supports it convict them and send them to prison.

As far as the term, "outlaw" that is being bandied about here, Waylon Jennings , Willie Nelson, and probably Hank Williams,Jr. were called outlaws.

And, judging from the posts on the Waco ,and other, threads, they are correct in that line of thinking. But, as long as the tyrant wears jackboots, they will always be someone there to lick them. And as evidence by the posts on these threads, the line will be long.

The Texas law under which 177 were rounded up does not mention "outlaw." The term is "criminal street gang."

(d) "Criminal street gang" means three or more persons having a common identifying sign or symbol or an identifiable leadership who continuously or regularly associate in the commission of criminal activities.

I finally heard something on this last night. Allegedly, there were 44 rounds fired, 12 of which are claimed to be from the police.

Just what I heard on the radio. I have been curious about that since this all began.
