NASCAR Distances Itself From Donald Trump After Remarks

NASCAR is the latest corporation to distance itself from Donald Trump.

On the same day one of its top sponsors called on NASCAR to take a stance against Trump, the motorsports series said it will not hold its season-ending awards ceremony at the Trump National Doral Miami.

"We looked at everything we saw coming down and what we heard from our sponsors and our partners and what we feel we should be doing, and that's what led us to the decision today," NASCAR spokesman David Higdon said Friday at Daytona International Speedway.

Trump's spokesman, Hope Hicks, declined to comment to NBC News Friday.

Screw NASCAR. Ban the name NASCAR considering it is a Southern spawned sport and we all know that the South was the Confederacy. Ban the word, now. It’s the right thing to do.

I never did watch it, but between this and the flag flap, they've made sure I'll never start.

LOL I guess they will really miss you. I don’t suspect many NASCAR fans give a damn about Trump.

Nasa what?

Nasca...?

Who is this Nascar fella?

Maybe it should be of significance to me, but some things from the past weren’t worth remembering for me.

NASCAR leadership team has gone off the deep end. They are beholden to somebody, and it’s not racing fans.

I have followed NASCAR for over 50 years.

They were already losing me because the races are being shown on channels which I have to buy access to. Fox regular programming does a good job-—but Fox Sports isn’t free & I live on Soc Sec. I am pretty damn sure I am not the only one in this predicament. ESPN & NBC Sports isn’t helping me one little bit, either.

However, I have lost interest in trying to follow events I cannot see.

IF anyone has a snail mail address for Rick Henrick
Racing, please send it to me privately. I wish to write a letter to him explaining my position. I need to vent to someone I respect...and that respect isn’t going to NASCAR directly.

Meanwhile, trying to tell the world that Donald Trump isn’t relevant is a big mistake.

This country needs a business person running things, and even if his comments have been ‘controversial’-—that is an individual opinion—and I don’t think he is being controversial- I think he is correct-—and too many people in this country do not wish to see the danger of uncontrolled invasion by illegals.

At least Trump will make the election interesting.

As a serious Conservative, I would vote for him at this stage of the game. Too many politicians have spent their entire lives lying to the American voter.

That is true. NASCAR has been turning far left for a while. Last year they went after a young driver, Cory Le Joie for an innocent, indirect comment regarding Muslim terrorists.

They saw the poll where views on the ConderateFlag have not changed much in the last 20 years...but PC Lemmings are running off the cliff...it will be a rude of awakening when they wake up before the Great White Throne an realize that there is a GOD and He is really ticked off about abunch of things.

I guess NASCAR wasn’t happy with the way they committed suicide over the Flag, so they have decide to Burn Their own Corpses!

Never Again!

Along with distancing itself from millions of fans. Good riddance to the politically correct socialistas. Give me the General Lee ,a pair of well filled Daisy Dukes and I'm happy.
