Rivlin: Radicals Have Hijacked Ramadan
Arutz Sheva ^ | 5/7/15 | Yaakov Levi

At an event marking the end of the Ramadan fast on Sunday, President Reuven Rivlin spoke with Arabic language mediaand discussed a number of issues, chief among them the relations between Arabs and Jews in Israel.

At the outset, Rivlin noted that both Jews and Muslims had fasted on Sunday – the latter for Ramadan, and the former for the Seventeenth Day of Tammuz, commemorating the events leading up to the destruction of the Holy Temples in Jerusalem. A common fast, said Rivlin, could help build a bridge to understanding to both communities.

“I am aware of the distress and pain of the Israeli Arab society - the violence in the Arab community, the shortages in housing and employment, the significant gaps in the allocation of resources and budgets,” said Rivlin. “I am working with the government on the one hand, and the mayors and companies on the other hand, in order to advance these issues.”

Although he is not considered an expert on Islam, Rivlin said that Ramadan, the 30-day fasting and penitence period commemorated by Muslims, had been “exploited” by those seeking to turn its meaning into one of criminal and murderous terrorism...blah blah blah

Cameron, I can understand. He don't live around here. Rivlin is supposed to know better. But the photo gives us a clue as to what's going on. He's picking his nose, and sounding like Shimon Peres.

Let's abolish the presidency in Israel, and instead have a monarch of the Davidic dynasty. There are such people still around. I know several personally. If a king goes dotty, you can deal with it. You have a nice secure room in the palace where he can stay until he's over his fits of wacko speechifying. But if a President loses it, he has no trusted family retainers who can lock him up. He just keeps on going and going and going....

Most of the kings of Israel and Judah were bad kings.

Which is to say — just about all of them.

“Building bridges” is my marker to read no further.

Hamas and Hezbollah and ISIS and the rest don’t want any bridges. They want Israel in the sea — not driving over it.

He’s living in a dream world. A basic tenet of Islam is hatred of the Jews.

The basic tenet of Islam is hatred of everything. The two basic tenets of Islam are centered around violence and sexual perversion.

moderate Muslims won’t speak out against the radicals because they will be declared apostates. and even many moderate Muslims agree that the punishment for apostasy is death.

Ramadan ends on 17 July 2015. Something is wrong with this story.

What is Ramadan really about? It’s about traffic accidents, and innocent disputes that endi in bloodshed. It’s about loud music ‘til all hours of the night, in case you miss Brooklyn. Ramadan is about the warm feeling one has inside after getting a gut shot with a .22 for nothing at all. Ranadan is about Islam having a sugar fit.
