He’s definitely no politician. He said “build a fence”. Then he said that afterwards, hard-working illegals can stay, but not anybody looking for a handout.
No politician I know of will be that honest with you.
However, I also know the political class. They’ll try to get him just the way they did Reagan. Legislation to implement the “stay” and never get around to the fence.
That’s the real problem with the Washington Cartel, as Cruz calls them, they simply cannot be trusted NO MATTER WHAT they say.
Except for Bush, who thinks ISIS illegals are here out of “love”, we don’t have a clue what the other ‘fence builders’ actually think the policy should be once the fence is built.
My own opinion is that there should be no search, but that those who turn up should be sent home. We do, however, have the ANCHOR BABY law, and by that law any children they’ve had here are US citizens. That complicates things, so I’d repeal the anchor baby process with legislation.
Anyone else is welcome to put their name on the legal list. If I don’t know they’re squatting and on the list at the same time, then that’s just the way it is. However, if they are found out, then their name is off the list and there’s a 5 year period before they can put it back on.
But, I agree. The key is the fence, airport and seaport control, and coast guard alertness, and full control of visas.

I just think that based on Trump's track record, anyone who thinks Trump would really do anything to seriously hurt his cheap-labor business and Democrat cronies is fooling himself.
The reality is everyone on the R stage should throw their support behind Trump. We’ve already seen what the past 30 years of government supported professional politicians have done. Of course that won’t happen. They have careers and personal interest at stake.
Now some want Trump to back their insiders club? Is anyone really buying that?
Deport/ban the criminals, end illegals access to schools and welfare, and they’ll self deport.

No, we do not.
Under the 14th amendment, the parents must be here legally for the children to become citizens.
None of them are US citizens, although they are clearly victims of their parents felonious behavior.

I believe we have a heavy concentration of them here, but those numbers are higher than I can comfortably accept at this point.
