He shouldn't want to talk about Trump or other candidates. He should be talking about what his plans are. Seems like he's pretty good at doing neither.

Not sure about his ideology. But apparently he believes that hope and optimism are more important than actually looking at facts.

This is the same silly approach that the late Bobby Kennedy applied back in 1968, when he quoted Bernard Shaw about dreaming of things that never were, and "asking why not." May God forgive those who would destroy our future by pursuing day dreams, if that be his will! I cannot do so. The man is probably sincere. Bush was then pressed if he felt Trump's candidacy was harming the broader Republican Party.

Trump HAS harmed the republican party. He has shown that most of the republican party has completely abandoned it's constituents on illegal immigration.

I won't be voting for ANY republican candidate who does not come out strongly against illegal immigration and is not specific about what they want to do about it. Too much is at stake here.

If that means I have to vote for Trump as a protest vote then so be it.

Here is what is driving me insane. I am CONVINCED that Jebby will get nominated. There is no GOPer running I loathe more than I loathe Jeb.

You're not the only one with that creepy feeling - he would be the ultimate designated loser. The mention of the Bush name makes leftist's eyes bug out, smoke come out their ears, projectile foam come out their mouth. I could go on random websites and post "George Bush!" or stuff about the Bush family and most everyone on the site will want to kill me. Nominating a Bush would motivate the left base like crazy - they would crawl naked through a minefield covered with broken glass and radioactive waste to vote against a Bush.
