But in the 1980’s the law was changed and companies were prohibited from giving ESOP’s as a bonus to all employees. Those things were then reserved for the executive suite.

For 'profit sharing' to work, "losses sharing" must also be implemented. As was with the old Marxist ideology, they had losses and followed through on the principle, sharing the losses across "Paradise" and then the Wall came tumbling down.

I personally don’t have a problem encouraging employers to do this. I worked for a small 5 person engineering firm and was responsible for generating over $600K in fees to the company in one year. My bonus was $125!
