Kennedy is an excellent example that in a culture that rejects moral absolutes, anyone be they a concentration camp executioner, abortionist, Supreme Court justice or wild eyed terrorist can mold their pliable conscience to perform any atrocity. Wow, that is rich, coming from the guy who has been largely responsible for more over-reach into SC decisions than almost anyone in history. Trust? REALLY? Try actually sticking to the FREAKING WORDS OF THE CONSTITUTION for oh, say, the next 50 years. Then I will consider whether to trust the Court. Until then, screw off. I will continue to trust the Court’s decisions about as far as I can fling a Nimitz-class carrier.
Kennedy and his colleagues did not “legalize” “gay marriage.” They delegitimized themselves.
