I recorded a good many hours and the POW/MIA hearings and watched them in the evenings. I thought with two Vietnam vets as chairmen, one a former POW, that we’d definitely get a thorough investigation. I’d read the book “Kiss the Boys Goodbye” and other information about the issue and was very interested.
It gradually become obvious that the purpose of that committee was not to bring forth all possible evidence, but to coverup as much as possible and to discredit any witnesses presenting evidence that some men might still be in SE Asia. McCain was outright hostile and rude to some witnesses trying to present evidence. And later it comes out, as in this video, how McCain took extreme steps to prevent evidence held by the Pentagon from seeing the light of day.
Have despised the character ever since.

Even Sarah Palin couldn’t dress him up enough for us to believe it deeply during her VP-nomination acceptance speech praise of his “accomplishments”.
I do not like him because of what he did to Sarah Palin (the same thing he did repeatedly to his airplanes) in that election, and by extension to all of us in the Tea Party Movement, and I shall not forgive him until he publicly admits his complicity in her political destruction at that time.
The man deserves respect for his service to our country.
That, however, is unrelated to his ability (or lack thereof) to make decisions as a representative of the people.

I despise McLame as much as you and most FReepers do, but this extremely amateurish "docu" doesn't polish FR's brass much, if you know what I mean.
