I was going to scroll back up to reply; but that would have necessitated looking at their faces again & I couldn’t. - My cousin & her husband were killed in a car wreck a few years ago by a drunk illegal alien. - She was younger than me; and I can remember holding her when she was a napping baby wrapped in a blanket. - The American people better get a clue & quit swallowing the guff Barack Hussein is spewing. - When I hear a person lie once; that’s it, I quit listening.
DHS/ICE might have issued an administrative detainer request which Sanctuary County Santa Clara then denied. Typically Sanctuary cities demand a court order from a judge before they hold an illegal alien (a rarer and more difficult item to obtain in a limited time).
A follow up question to the County would be did you receive anything from DHS? that would ALLOW you to hold the alien? Did you proactively reach out to DHS regarding the alien? This isn't your first contact with this alien. What did you do in the past vis-a-vis DHS/ICE?
My guess is that the county is playing word games.
What's DHS/ICE's version of events?
For every crime in which these illegal aliens are caught and prosecuted, there are probably dozens of crimes they have committed and not gotten caught.
This is probably not the only murder this illegal alien has committed. It is only the first one for which he was caught.

But it's more then that. They teach their children that the U.S. stole their land, that migration into the U.S. is their right, and that they should keep Mexico in their hearts when they head off.
So he's absolutely right. Mass illegal immigration serves the interests of the Mexican government by ridding them of a problem population and giving them influence in the U.S. by having a significant fraction of their population here.
Only a liar or a fool wouldn't see that. It was ridiculous to hear the question, because it was a question that a college liberal from upstate New York would have asked circa 1979. Since then, anyone with a brain has realized that's what's going on.
This is only more proof that these children come her for love.
