NYT Reporter: Rush Forced Fox to Back Down on Trump”

Nope. Donald Trump's high poll ratings and even more importantly, high TV ratings forced Fox to back down. Roger Ailes wasn't going to sit idly by while Trump continued to appear on CNN everyday while boycotting Fox, and end up taking TV ratings away from Fox.

I’ll stick by my title. From the transcript:

“There were two institutions that could have put a stop to Trump: talk radio and Fox. And talk radio likes him and Fox backed down.”

I believe Roger Ailes was instrumental in putting Rush on the air nationally in 1988. Perhaps Rush still has his ear.

That isn’t just makeup on him. That’s product with makeup applied over it.

The little metrosexual at the Slimes panties are all wadded into a bunch I see.

I’m not sure why it would be so improbably for Rush to pick up the phone and say Roger, you got 24 million viewers and it wasn’t because of Linda Graham.

I am spared the need to think by simply always doing what Rush says.

Rush thinks for me, this way I avoid pain and confusion.

A Leftist family member once told me that he thought a lot about why anyone would reject the sound and reasonable opinions and ideals of the progressives, since they were so good, and helped so many people. His only conclusion was conservatives are:

1. Racist

2. Sexist (even the women, but they’re brainwashed by their stern, demanding, patriarchal, overbearing, racist(1.), sexist(2.) husbands.

3. Mind-numb robots lead by Rush Limbaugh.

4. Mind-numb robots lead by Faux News.

5. Mind-numb robots lead by (insert name of 1984’s Goldberg-like-hate conservative here).

6. Stupid.

I didn’t counter a thing. I just laughed in his face and told him his line of reasoning was retarded. Everyone else laughed at him, too.

This article had a lot of good details as to why FOX buckled & I don’t recall seeing Rush’s name mentioned:

Donald Trump and Roger Ailes Make Up — for Now

Trump wanted an apology from Kelly’s pointed questions, while Ailes wanted Trump to stop the pointed and sexist attacks on one of his anchors.

If Ailes doesn't want sexist attacks on his women anchors perhaps he should have them dress a little less 'sluttily'.

‘Asked by Mika Brzezinski who was the most powerful person in the media today, Confessore responded: “I think Fox or Rush Limbaugh [whose last name Confessore pronounced “Lim-bow], right? In this primary, right? There were two institutions that could have put a stop to Trump, talk radio and Fox. And talk radio likes him and Fox backed down.”

HuffPo’s Sam Stein essentially seconded Confessore’s notion.’

Meh. Weak extrapolation based on generalities which arrive at notions. Zero evidence.

Megyn did not apologize and called the selective character assassination good journalism. Fox news owns this debacle.

...I just laughed in his face and told him his line of reasoning was retarded....

Being a good little leftist, however, he probably thought your reaction was further proof of his moral superiority and intellectual prowess.

Mr. ailes should not hard bimbos if he wants his anchors to be treated like ladies.

This is called “establishing a narrative”. The left does it all the time.

The left has ZERO understanding of what conservatives think. It is like they are trying to divine our intentions by reading the cracks in turtle shells.

Probably.

Still don’t care...

I haven’t seen him in a while, but when I have, he never brings up politics with me anymore!

Then again, he’s had a few issues with life, and I do believe he may have changed because of them. When he said that stuff ten years ago, he was a pimple-faced college freshman.

Now he’s a few-times-laid-off but working taxpayer, who got robbed at gunpoint once.

Why should any institution be trying to "put a stop" to Trump?

Because he stands in direct opposition to the establishment. The sad part is the # of GOPe RINO jackboot lickers out there willing to carry the water for the very same organization that has been bending them over and screwing them for so many years. I used to think that a libtarded democrat was the worst kind of voter, but no more. It has become painfully clear that the ignorant, low info battered wives of the GOPe are.

I looked at MSNBC and CNN today to see how they were reporting on the Hillary email developments.
Zip, zilch, nada.
CNN did have a blurb on how Hillary will use her, “playbook” to survive.
