At my CC class they explained the legal requirements for “No Guns” signage, font type, size and placement. Any signs must be placed so as to have visability from (I think) 50 ft from the entrance. Then he juxtaposed these requirements against the actual signage at a very large (and nationally recognized) mall. Interestingly the signs are in the wrong font size and placed inside the mall, just past the secondary entrance, which does not meet legal requirements. The instructor speculated it’s likely mall management printed and placed those signs intentionally, to both appease the ignorant PC crowd while making it okay to bring your weapon in with you. You can walk in there with your legal firearm and no one can or will challenge you. For now, it’s just we permit carriers’ little secret.
Not really. Even dollar stores face competition from online retailing.
In fact, there's an interesting dynamic in traditional retailing where these companies may even get consolidated to the point where they have no traditional competitors. This never would have been permitted in the past under anti-trust regulations, but every major retailer competes with Amazon these days.
