I heard on Bill Bennett this morning that we still have the medical device tax thanks to Democrat/Obama/MitchMcConnell Care.
I thought that part of the beast had been ripped out, but apparently it was tabled like so many other conservative efforts thanks to McConnell not using Harry Reid's "nuclear option" to get the bill to the floor for a vote.
Bills only takes 51 to pass the senate, but Reid's buddy Mitch won't let them come to the floor for a vote. What good is he for us?
Sorry for the vanity, but I thought it was important. I don't know how many of you also didn't know that the medical device tax was still in place.
McConnell needs to retire or be retired. Maybe somebody can accuse him of tapping his foot in a public bathroom or some other great scandal and make him resign.
We don’t want to piss off the democrats. They might treat us badly next time they are in the majority. /s
Several of us were telling people this back in November, but very few would listen. Handing the senate over to this crop of Republicans has set us back several more cycles. After what they did to Cruz during the “shutdown,” what they did to McDaniel, and many other things, we knew what we were getting.
Right after sweeping out JugEars in Nov. 2016, and stopping Shillary/NutJob Sanders/Fauxcahontas/GenericDim from entering the White Hut, having McConnell ousted as Majority Leader should be our next highest priority.
Of course, with the damage that McConnell is doing to the party, the Republicans may well lose the Senate, in which case that ouster might be as Minority Leader.
Well, his leadership gave the senate to the Team Red. That’s the way the GOP Machine sees it. Why should they retire him? Really, the lesser-of-two-evils caucus gave McConnell the gavel and they’ll keep doing it. Anyone who tries to primary him will be accused of splitting the party and the lesser-of-two-evils, with the help of crossover Rats, will run to Yurtle’s aid. When a conservative does win the primary, the GOP pays some fake Libertarian to run against him. If you vote third party, you get accused of throwing your vote away and handing the election to the Rat. I just wonder how Grimes could be any worse.
Tut tut. Don’t you know that use of the so-called “nuclear option” is reserved for the rat faction of the uniparty only?
The gop faction of the uniparty is only allowed to concede, cringe, cower, collaborate, cooperate, collude, and capitulate.
I am stunned that something that had 41 house Democrats and all house Republicans can’t pass the Senate.
Harry Reid didn’t have 60 votes to get Obamacare to the floor for a vote. Why are we playing kids games while the socialist are doing war against our country?
Collaborate.
That is an excellent word for what the establishment and Mitch McConnell are doing. They are collaborators.
“We” are not playing any games because we don’t have any representation in DC. The GOP is doing what they’re doing because they like what’s happening.
But the democrats have even ONCE had to “filibuster” ... They have only had to “get enough votes “counted” to claim they could filibuster. Then McCol quits, surrenders, and gives up.
