The French awarded the Legion of Honor, the French equivalent to a knighthood, for the valor of the Americans on the train.

Obama awards the Presidential Medal of Freedom to the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou, and Tom Brokaw.

I give props to the French, even if they are a little pink.

I think the French are collectively not as smug as they once were towards us and our cowboy ways.

It would be interesting who gets the place of honor during the state of the union address: these heroes on the train or someone who came out ( gay.)

You are correct, I was working late that night also, watched it on TV. Was not sure about it being in Atlanta or LA but was positive it was against the Dodgers and Al Downing.
