MEGYN KELLY: THE FIRST CASUALTY IN DONALD TRUMP’S ‘ASYMMETRIC’ WAR ON FOX NEWS
Breitbart ^ | August28,2015 | Matthew Bolye

Posted on 08/28/2015 5:31:27 AM PDT by Hojczyk

2016 GOP frontrunner and billionaire Donald Trump already won his war with the Fox News Channel’s Megyn Kelly.

She’s exposed as having a point of view, rather than being a purely impartial arbiter of news. Now he’s just having fun as a larger war between him and the network’s powers-that-be looms.

But what Trump has done in a truly special manner is expose that fallacy. It’s not that Trump’s war with Kelly isn’t petty—it is, and it is probably counterproductive to be fighting with a television personality for weeks on end as he’s soaring in the polls. He could be fighting with the Mexican or Chinese governments or with Democrats or his fellow GOP candidates—all of which would be more conducive to helping him earn more supporters—but Trump isn’t someone who backs down easily–and since Kelly came after him, not the other way around, he feels like he needs to win. Well, in the regard of whether or not Kelly is in fact impartial, Trump has a decisive victory.

That doesn’t mean that Kelly will see a drop in ratings or a loss of status in the media. She’s still the top dog on the Fox News Channel, and her show still gets incredible ratings. Until a credible competitor emerges—CNN and MSNBC certainly haven’t been able to make the cut—she’ll remain there, just like O’Reilly and Hannity have. But Trump has taken one thing away from her that she and her bosses at Fox can never replace, no matter how much time or money they spend on it: the appearance of impartiality.

I’m a long-term very loyal Fox viewer.

At least I was. Not one bit now.

She's already seen a drop in ratings.

Maybe Chris Wallace will step up to the plate. I’d like to see him sent down to the minor leagues.

Interesting article!! I liked the part about Stone. I’m going to look for him. His philosophy is to never get on the defensive, never take a crouching posture. The best thing about a Trump is that people seem to be learning from him.

She apparently didn’t know that conservatives can boycott just as effectively as liberals...

I’m looking forward to the televised debate Trump pulls out of and instead broadcasts his live replies on the Internet. There, he’ll be able to answer legitimate questions in real time and he’ll also be able to ridicule the questioners for loaded, or stupid, of fight-inducing or agenda setting questions. I would bet such an Internet broadcast would outdraw the actual event.

FOX has turned into ABDNC, the agenda is more important than the ratings. Their agenda is to stop Trump at all costs.

Every show and commentator has the same opinion, from Will to Kelly and that is he has no business running for President.

Pray America is waking

Even the guys on our side who somewhat get it still don't get it: "and it is probably counterproductive to be fighting with a television personality for weeks on end as he’s soaring in the polls. He could be fighting with the Mexican or Chinese governments or with Democrats"

Most Americans wouldn't know what Mexican official or Chinese official Trump would be "fighting." But some, perhaps more now, know Kelly. Why would you fight with Lindsey Graham if you could fight with Lindsey Lohan? Why fight Marco Rubio when you can fight Ricky Martin?

They still don't understand that this is a celebrity era and that you stay in the news by being a celebrity, not by being a politician.

She’s an obnoxious twit and the Donald rightfully put her in her place. I saw the video of her gloating that somehow she was going to bring down the Donald...like nobody has ever tried that before!

Yes, he and Bret Baier both, they're both guilty by association if nothing else. (See photo of all three of them w/hsit-eating grins as debate program began.)

There are better people available, some of them already working for FOX.

I think Kelly is angling for a really big bucks anchor gig at ABC/CBS/NBC.

MK is nothing but a glorified trampy pole dancer with an affirmative action law degree. Why do u think her other polls are UP???? Trump knows this. She’s no Anne Coulter. Expect to see her NAKED somewhere soon on the internet. If she isn’t already. Guys y’all need to stop giving her electronic newsprint. That’s just what she and Rupert Murdoch want.

I stopped after they quickly threw Cain under the bus. It was apparent that they were working for the GOP elite.
