Joan Walsh: I Don't Know Any Liberals Outraged by Illegal Immigration
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 08/30/2015 6:38:31 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Looks like Up With Steve Kornacki is becoming the go-to place liberals for liberals to let their radical cats out of the bag . . . Yesterday, as we reported here, Josh Barro of the New York Times said that the only way to impact violent crime is to undertake a "massive" gun grab. Today, it was the turn of Salon's Joan Walsh to admit that she doesn't know "any liberals upset--outraged" by illegal immigration.

As we said of Barro, kudos to Walsh for her candor. And really, why would liberals be upset by millions of illegal, low-skilled, immigrants flooding into the country? It's not as if America has a culture worth preserving, after all. And as we know, another term for illegal immigrants is "future Democratic voters."

Joan Walsh admits she doesn’t know any liberals outraged by illegal immigration. Of course not: why would they be?

Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.

Note, of course, that the RINOs don’t oppose it either. The Manhattan wine and cheese Liberals and the GOP establishment are just one big happy family: “Why have borders? Why be a nation? Why should we be special?”

The Ministry of Propaganda wants to hide the truth

It is as simple as this:

The Democrats represent the illegal aliens.

The GOP represents their employers.

No one represents the citizens, 65% of whom want the borders and laws enforced.

Trump says he will.

He wins.

“I don’t see how McGovern can lose. Everyone I know is voting for him, no one for Nixon”. Pauline Kael, 1972, movie critic for the defunct “news” magazine, Newsweek. Joan Walsh lives in a bubble, just like she did; probably on the Upper West Side of New York, I’ll bet her kids went to expensive lily white private schools, that she never shops at a chain grocery store, that no one in her family has served in the military since WW2, and that she doesn’t have (and wouldn’t have) a single friend who calls himself or herself “conservative”.

Joan and the elitist scum are all about rebuilding that Tower of Babel again where everybody can be =EQUAL=

It’s racist to be exceptional.
It’s xenophobic to want to preserve a European/Christian Culture.

According to the book of Daniel and Revelation, they’ll get their wish soon enough and 8 out of 10 people living now will not survive it.

They like it because allowing free open borders destroys a country’s sovereignty and power. Once enough non citizens can vote, its over. The end goal is a world without borders, one world government.

That’s why if any of you are concerned about how strong of a position a candidate has on common core, or abortion, or single payer medicine, you may want to instead focus on their border and deportation positions instead.

"Yesterday, as we reported here, Josh Barro of the New York Times said that the only way to impact violent crime is to undertake a "massive" gun grab."

Since when is a gun-related incident the only form of violent crime? There are a hell of a lot more stabbings, rapes, fist fights and blunt-force trauma than shootings. The original article points this out, yet stupid liberals can not be convinced by statistics - their minds are warped in the "forward" mode, like this idiot we have for a president.

Further to my movie critic Pauline Kael quote, she was also quoted as publicly saying in a speech: “I live in a rather special world. I only know one person who voted for Nixon. Where they are I don’t know. They’re outside my ken. But sometimes when I’m in a theater I can feel them”. Sounds just like Joan Walsh.

Why should we be special?”

It's not like we're Iran or anything, whose "ancient culture" Obama praised.

If I were at my country club with c.c. Republicans and mentioned that I was supporting a Democrat they’d look at me funny and say how interesting.

If I were at a wine and cheese gathering in Berkeley or the Upper West Side and said I was going to support a conservative candidate they would be outraged.

Liberals, who think of themselves as super tolerant, are the most intolerant of all.

I remember being at a reunion dinner with school friends, all but one of whom were liberal Democrats. They were outraged when I reminded them I had headed up the Reagan campaign at my graduate school, with one of the spouses remarking in all seriousness, that I seemed to be intelligent.

Does she know any liberals outraged by government spending?

That would be “No” also.

No wonder they can say in all honesty that a they “don’t know a soul” who voted for the conservative.

I have some acquaintances/clients with whom I would never talk politics. I pretend I’m not interested in the topic. Why burn a bridge? They’ll never change their minds.

Well their hero, Obama, said the foreign invaders have as much right to this country as we do.

And some Trump-haters agree.

He loves illegal immigration (”act of love”)and hates conservatives (”win Repub nomination without the base”).

**********************************************************************

All recent past liberal republican nominees have taken the nomination “without the base”. It seems to me that the republican “base” has changed to liberalism, conservatives no longer being the base.

If JEB continues his down slide into oblivion, I’ll consider the old base to be extremely lucky or fortunate.

The scenario I fear is that JEB hangs on, on the fringes of the campaign, while other, more conservative candidates kill each other off. Maybe leaving Trump, Cruz and Carson to split conservative support while he (JEB) walks away with all the “moderate” (liberal) vote and wins the nomination. After all, it’s happened numerous times before.

Lucy’s holding the foot ball again, come on Charley Brown, kick it. I won’t pull it away again.

I’ve seen every republican candidate bashed by one faction on this forum at one time or another. I like Walker but I won’t be slamming Trump, Cruz or Carson. Hillary and Hillary lite rep. candidates are the real enemies.
