He voted for it but he gave a speech against it. LOL . isn’t that what people find important a good speech that tells them what they want to hear? give the Iranians nukes just as long as you say you are against it and give a damn good speech against it .

Will it even come up for a vote in the Senate? Do the cloture rules apply here?

The entire Washington controversy surrounding the approval of Obama’s Iran treaty is nothing but Kabuki theater for the masses.

Obama was guaranteed a win when the senate and house agreed to pretend that the treaty is not a treaty.

Thanks to that immoral, dishonest and unconstitutional move (the “Corker Bill”) Obama only needs 34 senators to back him instead of the two thirds it would take to ratify a treaty.

It is slimy Uniparty politics like this fueling the rise of non-political outsiders like Trump, Carson and Fiorina among candidates for the republican presidential nomination.

Yeah our boy Coons consulted administration sources and other Democrats to come up with a decision. What did he expect to get told? The truth about it being a bad deal?
He should have just done his usual rollover for Obama and forgone the drama..

That last vote will get expensive, so let the bidding wars begin.

The fix was in long ago when McConnell conceded power to the Democrats, even though he leads the joint Republicrat Party.

I have a question. On what grounds is Bob Casey considered a moderate?

RE: Will it even come up for a vote in the Senate? Do the cloture rules apply here?

The answer to the first question will depend on Mitch McConnell. Assuming he allows it to go through, will it be filibustered? Let’s say the GOP musters enough votes to overcome the filibuster, will they get the 67 votes to override a SURE Obama veto?

It’s looking less and less likely.

In short, the USA and Israel and the World at large is royally screwed.

Who ever said he is a moderate?

Good old Chris Coons—Harry Reid’s pet.

You can bet Christine O’Donnell would not be voting for this Iran deal.

The Mainstream Media and political class in D.C. His father’s surname gave those claims some credibility, but with his support for Planned Parenthood and now this, I don’t see how the ruse can last.

It would still send a message if Obama has to veto it, which is why it won’t come up for a vote unless McConnell calls for the nuclear option. Even the Dems who are against it would probably vote against cloture.

Yes, cloture rules apply because the GOPe gave up everything to the Rats in the Corker bill and got nothing in return.

What little they did get in the Corker bill, like the requirement that Zero turn over all of the deal to Congress, was blatantly violated by Zero anyway in the form of the secret side deals.

Can McConnell exercise the nuclear option similar to wbat Reid did on confirmations, i.e., a simple majority to invoke cloture?

Everyone who supports this deal should put in writing that
they forfeit their lives immediately if Iran gets a nuke.

Yeah its the “listen to what I say and not how I vote” routine.

Sounds good, but I cant buy.

Obama diplomatic victory if this sham treaty passes? Not hardly. It is a victory for Iran.

I presume this question is some kind of dig against McConnell because at least 50% of threads seem to degenerate into “McConnell is the root of evil”?

Well anyway, the answer is never, even a state which has recalls, of which Kentucky is NOT one, cannot recall members of Congress, it would take amending the US constitution to make that possible and I think that would be a horrible idea. Surely you’ve wondered why you’ve never heard of Senator getting recalled, that’s why.

In any case, he won reelection easily.

His lifetime ACU rating is 7%.

Calling him moderate is kinda like calling Bruce Jenner a sexy lady, a delusion. All the makeup and airbrushing in the world isn’t up to the task of making this pig pretty.
