WASHINGTON – More than 300,000 American military veterans likely died while waiting for health care -- and nearly twice as many are still waiting -- according to a new Department of Veterans Affairs inspector general report.

The IG report says “serious” problems with enrollment data are making it impossible to determine exactly how many veterans are actively seeking health care from the VA, and how many were. For example, “data limitations” prevent investigators from determining how many now-deceased veterans applied for health care benefits or when.

Did any of them seek treatment from non-government health care providers?

Does that really matter. Over time...and it doesn’t matter how long...300,000 patriots were left to die. DISGUSTING!

McCain and Boehner/McConnell were just tooo busy
using the IRS to attack conservatives.

No one arrested for this yet?
Where are the Marshals?
Where is one iota of Law or justice?

I thought the Great Opeaser fixed this. Or maybe I’m thinking of his new VA bigwig that said he’d fix it.

If these vets were identified as illegals, they would get much better healthcare.

That’s what I was wondering. If the VA denied them, did they not seek healthcare somewhere else? My dad could choose VA care, but he uses Medicare and his supplemental medigap policy (which he pays for himself.)

Or are all the vets that died while waiting too young to qualify for Medicare...I find that hard to believe.

BTW, it's painfully obvious that the non-partisan Inspector General reports mean nothing in this day of authoritarianism.

Repeat after me: Long live the King, the obedient Parliament, and the law-making Justices.

Do you not recall how many 10's of thousands were wounded in Iraq and Aftganiscrap from 2001 to current, not to mention those from "Desert Storm", even back to Viet Nam? People only concentrate on the number of dead.

Yes, there are a sh*t load of VN veterns who are dying off by natural causes (age), but could have had their lives extended if the Veterans Administration was run and funded properly. But then, it's a fedgov agency. Need I say more? Okay, I will...

The above is the only reason I support Trump. Businessmen know how to make things work. I know because I owned 3 different businesses after Navy and retired at an early age. I made sh*t happen to the benefit of my companies and employees.

I have been an inpatient at one (Lakeside VA, Chicago), and an out patient at others. This was in the early 70’s.

There was an intense camaraderie, even between the newbies like me and the old guys. For many it was a social highlight.

Now that I’m almost, kind of, sort of an old guy, it has been a few years since I have met an RVN Grunt, that is not kin.

As I moved up the food chain, my insurance was near the famous ‘gold Cadillac’ level. Also sitting and waiting at the VA became costly.

I may be returning! My hearing aids ($7k +) were paid for, last year 0bamacare changed everything! Now $2k, but now my wife and I full pregnancy care! Coming soon sex change care! My plan had been pre paid for my lifetime!

In very small words, so a liberal will understand:

This is what the left wants for all of us.

Not to worry. The VA continues having well-manicured grounds, nice executive offices and provides jobs for many. Anyway, the Veterans were old and ill anyway.
