GoFundMe nixes fundraiser for Kentucky clerk
World Net Daily ^ | September 5,2015

The left-leaning fundraising site GoFundMe has declined to accept a fundraising campaign for jailed Rowan County, Kentucky, clerk Kim Davis.

Davis was jailed on Thursday for defying a federal court order to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples following the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges in June. She was ordered detained for contempt of court and later rejected a proposal to allow her deputies to process same-sex marriage licenses that could have prompted her release. She has become the symbol of religious opposition to the heavy-handed tactics of the “gaystapo” who are ramming same-sex marriage through at the federal level across the nation in opposition of religious conservatives.

It’s not over until it’s over — and it’s definitely NOT over! Read “Outlasting the Gay Revolution: 8 Principles for Long Term Cultural Change.”

U.S. News and World Report noted, “In sending her to jail, U.S. District Judge David Bunning ignored the American Civil Liberties Union’s request that Davis be fined to compel compliance with orders that she issue marriage licenses. ACLU attorney Heather Weaver, who is working on the case, said there was testimony about fundraising efforts on Davis’ behalf, apparently a factor in the judge’s decision not to impose financial penalties.”

Davis will remain incarcerated until she agrees to resume issuing licenses, including those for same-sex marriage.

Supporters attempted to initiate a GoFundMe campaign for her defense, but were thwarted by the site’s Terms and Conditions, which were updated on April 29 to specify the site can choose not to allow “campaigns in defense of formal charges or claims of heinous crimes, violent, hateful, sexual or discriminatory acts.”

A charge of being mean to the gays violates GoFundMe's terms and conditions. But being convicted of a 3rd degree felony does not. Only in the rationale of liberal lunatics.

Possibly

And possibly GoGetFunding, who told The Christian Post that they would not have denied service to the Kleins.

I’d love to see somebody challenge them and put a good scare in them. And I mean challenge them along the lines you’re talking about rather than just be a competitor.

There’s always Samaritan’s Purse as well. Franklin Graham does some good work.

So why the HELL can’t and doesn’t a savvy conservative just take on their own crowd funding site? There has to be a way to do it, and if I knew how, I would.

Discriminatory refusal of service. Instead of involving the tyrannical judiciary, as do the Stalinists, will simply refuse to use or support users of GoFu**Me.

I agree 100%. Why is it always the lefties that have such sites and control all the online crap. Why couldn't the Koch brothers fund an exact copy?

Yeah, I know a couple of sites provided funding, after GoFrigMe denied everybody who was pro-Hashem.

Free Republic, with it’s vast amount of conservative readers, should start a gofundme like service for injustices like this and the Colorado baker, and Oregon florist etc- What an impact it could make if 1000’s donated all at once to such causes to help those being oppressed

see my previous post- I think Freerepublic should look into becoming a funding site as well- they could take some of the donations as salary for overseeing the operation, and give the rest to the people in need like the Colorado baker or whomever- and the site could deny any causes that are liberal, and simply claim it violates their TOS

Win win for everyone-

The reason it would have to be a site like Freerepublic, or fox news or whatever is because of the massive readership/viewership who could rapidly contribute and make the liberals trying to destroy these people look like fools

It would be great if some liberal got a court ruling against a Christian baker for say $250,000, and sites like Freerepublic and Fox etc could raise 2 million or so for the bakery

Have that happen enough times and the liberals will STOP trying to hurt Christians simply because they don’t want to see Christians become millionaires lol

the only problem with those alternative funding sites is that not many people are aware of them- While they can bring in some much needed income for the people- it won’t be as much as a more popular site could generate for the people UNLESS it got massive advertising and became a household word kinda like gofundme has become

The other alternative is to somehow centralize all the smaller funding sites (conservative ones) into one larger organization until it becomes more well known as well

Assaults on Christians is only going to increase In the next few years- We NEED a site of our own to help protect us from such attacks, and to send a loud clear message to the left that if they do attack us, we have the funds and power to fight back and to thwart their efforts
