Indeed. The worst thing anyone can do is push their kid into something they hare, aren’t good at or don’t somewhat enjoy. Recipe for failure.
Growing up with a gearhead father, my daughter had an aptitude for mechanical things. She sees the logic of interaction/the ‘why’ things work. So she had several good years as a jet mechanic and enjoyed her job. That has led to a good job outside the mil that she rapidly advanced in.
Had I pushed her into something dissimilar because of ‘whatever’, I doubt she would have been successful or happy. Which of course begs the question, ‘What would be the point?”
Granted, being a girl in a boys field isn’t all wine and roses and she’s gotten grief. Unsurprisingly the old boys club is on her side as she is good at what she does. It’s the Lib metro types that give her the grief.

We should use a play to tell them. Everyone likes plays. => They won't attend your play.
We will have the school force them to attend. That will convince them. => They will just make fun of you during the performance and demonstrate exactly how different boys and girls are.

There’s no reason to heckle a play - heckler’s veto and all that.
My suggestion is that if people objected to the play - don’t attend. Then if the school attempts to sanction the student, show up with an attorney for the hearing. It will take one, maybe two students to do that and the student hearings will stop.
I would guess that anyone forced to attend a play might at some point be given to vomiting...yes
Under their own code of conduct, forcing students to attend the play was sexual harassment.
