All-male ground combat squads proved faster, stronger and more lethal in most cases than units that included women... But the women in combat units probably had higher self-esteem, and their prospects for career advancement were probably improved.
Which has higher priority in today's Marines?

Why did they put the weasel phrase “in most cases” in the sentence? Does that mean that in some cases the coed units did as well or better?

It would be interesting to conduct the experiment with young boys over and over again to see were the equivalence is between a mixed unit of boys and a mixed unit with females. My guess would be boys of 13 are the same and adult females in the combat department.
